Yeah dude, I threw a copper heat retention ring from simrell on the convector and never looked back. But yeah, I stand by the fact and have yet to see anyone's video/pics of an evenly vaped bowl without charring at the tip and green at the bottom without introducing a conduction heat cycle...

Thanks a lot, so it's not tapered? Is the female joint usually tapered or is it the o ring in the WPA that's sealing it?

Could anybody tell me what the widest part of the WPA measures, that inserts into the female joint. I'm searching up wooden pipes but most I'd be interested in the bowl diameter is around 22mm...
