The bottom of the stem has to sit at least even with or below the slit in the Quartz. A bucket is made, then the Quartz is fitted, finally the cap is made to fit everything. If that stem doesn't sit in the quartz properly as far as length then it does not do its job well and oil will pool...

Silicone O-rings are extremely inexpensive. If your swing does not come with them they are easily replaceable.

From this picture, it does not appear the stem leading into the Quartz bucket is long enough. That air injection stem needs to sit even with or below the slit in the quartz bucket.

I've tried a bunch of different methods to cap a bucket, including the methods you've mentioned, unfortunately nothing works like the OFZ style cap. Unless the Quartz is too hot the oil always puddles.

Without a proper OFZ style cap you simply cannot perform low temperature dabs. The oil just pools up and you're left with an incomplate dab.
