That is likely why they are discontinued besides being made from exotic wood. The wood is very thin and doesn’t offer much in the way of strength.

Huh, no more slim wood stems, that’s a shame. And like another member said, there’s only the slim carbon midsections that are non metal now =\. I don’t feel that the nona vongs are even half as elegant as the original double crowns and don’t close the gap in the product line. I wonder if the...

I use a single flame and heat very hot, so after 6 or so heat cycles the vape is getting pretty warm. I also should mention that this is not a spread out session and usually I’m heating immediately after the cool down click. The heating method, draw method and time between hits will...

I notice that if I do double bowls with my SS lined stems the upper part near the tip gets quite warm. I don’t notice it as much with the brass since the heat gets conducted quickly throughout the liner. This is with Ti tips btw, M tips hold even more heat. Without the wood to protect my...

I have been looking for darker woods but there is not much that isn’t exotic and the trouble with burl is that it is fragile and full of hidden cracks. I would love to work with figured black walnut if I can get my hands on it.

    The Herbalizer

Are you so sure? The herbalizer bags are terrible in my experience as a heavy bag user. The squeeze valves tend to wear out and the plastic tears easily due to the forces and stresses being concentrated at the constiction in the bag. My Volcano bags and herbie modded solid valve have proven to...

Those prices for a lift grinder are quite high. I could almost get two GR8TR V2 for the price of one...

    Winegums' Woodcraft

Who knows where I’ll go? If woodworking and vapourizer accessories aren’t a realm where I can thrive then , I’m considering going into garden design as I also enjoy working with plants. It’s been quite tough to have a job as someone who makes for a niche market. Sales are infrequent, and the...

    The Herbalizer

You are right @ViCKi LEEKX It should be designed to fail in a closed manner not an open manner. That’s what shocked me when the unit started to malfunction. Poor design on their part. I have a bit of electronics schooling and this is a very basic design mistake but a big one. There’s not even a...

    The Herbalizer

@fishkid @ViCKi LEEKX I'm lucky I caught mine while it was still salvageable. or maybe not? They at least replaced all the internals in my unit. Something on the electronics board failed after prolonged use at high temperatures (normal operation for the herbalizer). Which causes the normally...

    Winegums' Woodcraft

I'll be gone to Cali until the 20th and once I'm back I'll be able to start making things again. Doing home renovations has really eaten up my time and taken longer than expected. I'm sorry for those who have orders with me that I wasn't able to complete before I leave. I intend to dive into the...

NDA? They sure don't look like a Gen 5 with the different fin profile? The generations that started here on FC don't agree with Dynavap. They have their own "generations" as I recall George considering Gen 4 tips as Gen 3 tips. This may be a flash in the pan type of generation like Gen 4 if you...

Funny thing is I actually like the look of the Gen 6 tip the most out of all of the 5 fin tips. And I don't think there's hardly any extra mass, the edges of the fins are much thinner. If anything this should perform better than the straight fin profile and have less stress risers.

I haven't seen any mention of it or I must have missed it. Was it in one of the dynavap videos or something? They hardly post here anymore. I said it a long time ago and I'll say it again I think the 5 fin M and 5 fin Ti tips look too similar. There's nothing special about the looks of the top...

You have the M18 tip on the Omni stem and the Ti tip on the M18 stem. Unless they started doing the double helical grooves and the rounded channels on the Ti tips? Which would make this another generation of Ti tip. Look for the adjust-a-bowl grooves in the tip and the taper in the ID on the...

If you're only using at home. I've used this torch style of X-lite model for months and months, they're quite durable and reliable. The tiny piezoelectric mechanism in cheapo pocket lighters don't last very long at all IME. There's also flintwheel ignited torch lighters by Aomai which are...

1/10 on the troll attempt, Are you upset that your testing method is flawed or something? How did you get that out of what I said? You're not explaining yourself, I have no idea what an Afla is besides an unreliable automobile. huh? So if it's not hot enough to create any substantial amount...

How is my thinking flawed? Your experimental procedure is WRONG, you're not using the device as intended and producing the results you want to see. When you have no airflow there's no convective heating. You're cooking the herb via conduction and then stating that it's cooking it through...

Your thinking is flawed. Of course if you do cycles without drawing it's going to be conduction because there's no air flow to create convection heating.
