Totally agree here. Not only do they make great use of the glass for cooling but the two 90deg bends in the vapor path help out in a big way as well. Yeah, they're harder to clean but worth it. Ceramic flattened mouthpiece. Classy. Couple this with how versatile it is with all types of grinds...

For me, if the S3 is warm then it's a snug fit but nothing crazy. I trust things will get better after some more use. 🤞 I never felt like I would break anything. I also don't notice any of the other stems fitting too loosely. They seem to have done a good job with the fit tolerance. Better...

Electric vapes with all-glass air & vapor path?

I have one of those but not sure the airpath is closed off from electronics and such. I know the heater is coated in ceramic and the rubies are the same material (corundum). You can use a glass pathway with a glass screen. I love the hits it can give.

Electric vapes with all-glass air & vapor path?

Oh ok... I thought the SS heated the ceramic bowl but was out of the vapor path. My bad. I don't know the design in detail.

Electric vapes with all-glass air & vapor path?

Yeah true... Maybe a stem with a glass screen could work. I don't know the origins exactly but the VHB Slide fits the bill except it's never in stock. I think it just fits in the Wand if one were to try a metal sleeve for IH.

Electric vapes with all-glass air & vapor path?

Yeah, sorry... it was meant as a dumb joke playing on the couch theme. It's a great vape however but yes, it's pricy. If you want to expand your materials a bit and include ceramics and wood, it might widen your scope a bit as they are quite neutral/natural materials. The Firewood vaporizer...

My first ever vape was the OG solo back circa 2012 so getting this version is my vaping journey coming full circle. It's easily the best portable I own now and it's the only portable I've ever used while at home where my desktops are available. That says a lot for me.

I'm guessing you've heard of the Couchlog... Sounds like it might fit your vaping style 😉

Yup. I sort of found this out the hard way... I had been vaping flower at 365F(185c) and thought I had just started a flower session at that temp but it had actually been at 395F(201c) from a rosin sesh I had done previously. I mistook the "9" for a "6" when I looked at the temp display...

Congrats. It's a great vape. You mentioned being a flavor chaser and a sipper... well the S3 can deliver that. Try a nice low temp sesh at 160c with a 30sec heat soak.

0.6g is probably fairly accurate. If I was very conservative, it's at least 0.4g. I don't have a scale to test it though, so I'm basing that on the bowl size of other vapes I own.

It really does 😋. It's my favorite stem at the moment and I love the fact that it's also a 14mm WPA as I use it with my favorite dimpled pipe for great cooling all the time. I think so. Hope you get fixed up soon!

Ok. The AVLP bowl size I thought was good for me. A nice low-temp session with a full bowl was usually 5min. With the S3 I've been managing sessions closer to 8 or 10min due to more flower in the bigger (depending on the stem) bowl. Gauging air restriction is always a tricky and subjective...

If you are looking for something pocketable and tasty then I can recommend the AVLP. It was my go-to portable for close to 2 years until I've recently fallen for the Solo3. The AVLP is a very, very tasty vape. Heats really quickly. Great battery life and even has wireless charging. Handles...

Thanks for the good info. 👍 Yeah looking for a percentage was one of the first things I tried too. Also, using no bars left to count as the last 20% is really not very intuitive. Why not just have 5 bars? It's not like the top right of the display is crowded.

Ah, that's too bad. Must be a dud. I'd send them a mail and see if they can help. My blackwood stem has been working very nicely. With the notches in the bowl and the standard metal screen the airflow has been really great. It's my go-to stem right now.

It will definitely give nice vapor... you just have to let it heat soak a bit. The tastiest temps are the lowest ones 👍

I noticed a bit of machining and/or rubber smell but it went away quickly. The silicone cap that protects the oven seems to also have some smell but it's not in the airpath. You could try removing it temporarily and see if it helps. My stock stems seem very thick and not thin at all. In...

Tried some live rosin wrapped in vaping cotton inside the XL glass WPA connected to my dimpled glass pipe. Started at 390F and got some tasty, wispy hits so I pumped up the heat to 402F and then the magic happened. Really amazing flavor. Big, cool, tasty hits. I'm gonna try some dry sift...
