You do need to be somewhat patient- or bump up the temp. Even 2or 3 rips then a short heat soak will work.

I get my torches from a kitchen supply store. Most well equipped stores will have a few brule torch options for much cheaper than amazon/eBay in canada

I really should give some of the lower temps a chance again. I without fail, bump the temp to 7 and just live there. My avb ranges from light brown to coffee brown depending on the session length and water or dry.

I would think it you need accuracy you will need to look into a product that costs more the $10-20. As @FlyingLow mentioned, the surface you are weighing on needs to be flat, level flat.

Hi @Ojan_at_PAX I would really like a mode within the app for when I'm using a water pipe. The boost mode comes close, but it still let's the oven cool down by 5 degrees Celsius after a pull or two with a waterpipe and then auto offs. The lip sensing doesn't work with the water pipe adapter...
