I think I'm going to take photos of mine before returning it to them. When they finally respond to my warranty claim. And hell yes you should tell them- I don't think I'd ask for compensation either, but I'd give them an earful about it. Guess there is no way to know if it's even the same body...

Interesting- I only used mine at 4, and like I say, backend never even got warm, much less nearly as hot as the mouthpiece, even when doing 2 hits in a row. Don't mean to freak you out. Mine broke with no symptoms whatsoever. So that's reassuring, right? :cool:

Personally, it just reinforces that people's anecdotes are not very relevant. To me. No one here has any idea of the actual failure rates of any of these devices, because all of the information depends on someone bothering to come and post "mine broke three times" or "mine has never given me...

Does the back end only heat up if you continually use it for a while? Just curious, mine never got even warm (before the thing broke), but I usually clicked off after every hit.

I couldn't care less how it compares to other things- just as bad as some other products is not a very strong argument...

The short time I was able to use mine, I thought it was awesome. The question is do you want to invest in something that you may need to send back (and wait weeks at a time, each time) 2,3,4 even 5 times?

I know it's kind of pointless to quibble about wording, but I think pretty much anyone would have to agree that claiming "Over the last couple of months we’ve gone from shipping just a few units per day to over 100" strongly implies that they would be doing that amount consistently and...

Again, what is the practical difference? It takes 75 minutes of work to assemble one, whether they are timing from start to finish for a single one, or adding up the time taken for all the steps performed, even if they are working on multiple ones in parallel. The "75 minutes" comes straight...

Can someone explain how they can possibly build 100 a day with 3 people doing assembly? Or even with all six employees doing assembly exclusively, for 8 hours a day?

Yeah, there is. Push hard on the round copper contact, it does go in and you can feel the spring push it back.
