Mine didn't get hot in the slightest during the time I had it before it broke. But I usually clicked off after every hit. I thought I saw a spark the first time I attached the magnetic charging ring, but that was between it and the clicker, not on the inside.

It's all academic as far as I'm concerned. I would never even consider buying one from anyone other than GHL because of warranty issues, and I tend to trust them to make a safer product.

They have the specs for pretty much everything else, and as the post above me said, they wouldn't need to literally copy it, only make something the same size that functions similarly. And they could of course have a working GH to reverse engineer, as well as people with infinitely more...

Most of the parts for the GH were made in China, seems completely possible for their IP to have been jacked. Though I agree, these listings are probably scams and not even actual knock-offs....

One thing I'll mention about all OUR guesstimations- when it came to backers, we had a pretty good idea of how many there were, since it was published on the IGG site. Wasn't completely accurate, since people could add to their orders after funding closed, but it was probably reasonably close...

Well, someone will point out that people with problems are more likely to post about it. Which may well be true, but the fact is, the only information we actually have comes from people posting, and anything else is just speculation.
