Cool, looks good. Yeah it's quite an open screen, but still looks really airy with them doubled up like that.

A friend told me a story years ago involving someone coughing into a lit bong in his bedroom. The contents of the bowl flew out everywhere, made an absolute mess, his mattress was full of hot rock holes, parents went mental. Ah the good old days 😉😂

For those that are having issues with the balls falling out, I wonder if there is enough space to add another screen, or two...? I don't have mine to hand so not sure if having extra screens lower down would affect how the cap screws on, it might interfere with the top of the bowl. Or maybe...

Glad everything was ok, been using mine since November, can't say I've had that happen to me. The tempest is the only device I use now, it's used several times a day, when done I always give the cap a good shake/tap as I want to make sure there's nothing stuck in there. There has been times...

Depends what you class as portable, does it need to go in a hiking bag, day bag or the boot of the car etc... Not sure how portable you'll find it but I like the globes, the size of the mega globe really suits the tempest, though not really portable. But the mini globe is also good. You can...

Indeed, I'm absolutely over the moon with mine, can't wait to try it with the discs. I got the updated VI coil a couple of weeks ago and it's definitely made it a more accurate set-up. The device that keeps giving. Is this any use...

Yeah aluminium needs dyes and all that sort of thing. Not something I want to get involved in. I have a recipe for a home made etchant for anodising titanium, although I haven't used it yet. The best ones (also least toxic) aren't available in the UK as us peasants can't be trusted to turn...

Yeah as I say, no expert 😁 Most of my knowledge is from my practical attempts and advice I've sought from those specifically in that field. There will be a more reliable way of heat treating with better equipment, but it's still not a guarantee from what I've been told. I have missed some...

Not an expert but have done a bit of it in the workshop. Heat treating range of colours is limited and harder to control. There are only 3 colours and plain metal, these colours/bare metal repeat in the same order as the heat increases, only in a lighter shade each time. Other than the first...

Is there any particular stems you mean? Every Dynavap stem I've tried the tempest on was totally unusable for me, they can't deal with the heat from the head. I wasn't expecting them to work given the extra heat that comes through the native stem, but I wanted to try some anyway. Would be...

Took that just now. I'll avoid grossing you out too much but I have a bit of hyperhidrosis in my hands so they sweat a little more than most folks do... Thanfully it's just in my hands, and not as bad as some people get it. Basically means it's near impossible for me to keep this stuff nice...

I think globes are one of the most satisfying bubblers to watch fill for some reason. I got myself the mega globe a couple of weeks ago, been running the smaller one for a couple of years now, the bigger one really suits the tempest. Seems like an almost perfect size for it 😁

Ah I see, cool. At least I know I wasn't imagining things.

Might have been that, I thought the o-ring changes were mainly the larger heat shield one. You're probably right.

Sure I read before that the tubes may end up being replaced due to how tight these ones are but I might be wrong.

I've found it easier to remove when hot/warm. If you really can't get it out, get something soft to wedge between mouthpiece and helix, like a bankcard etc. Again doing this warm should help. Although make sure not to use metal objects as it'll end up scored and scratched. When you're putting...

Glad you're getting it dialled. It's mega satisfying. I would definitely recommend a wand, I started with the torch and I was getting good results but a wand definitely makes life easier, it's easy and repeatable. Enjoy mate.

I think you get the final click discs, final VI spring, the two steel parts on the head have been remade in another steel. Leather pouch. Final bowl screens. I'm in UK and the kit will be £25 I believe.
