    Crafty/Crafty+ by Storz & Bickel

Hey gang... Been really happy for well over 18 months with the Roffu/WPA, though I've been kicking around giving in to VAS and going for the Crafty+.... I don't plan on using it as a portable, but just for stalwart home use with water. I'm just wondering if during its evolution and use by...

    XVape XLUX ROFFU

lol ok good :) Truthfully, I like it the way I've been doing it, because it acts like a little "cup"; I use just enough herb for a good single hit, and then tamp the Roffu heat screen down against the herb... the screen rim acts as a stop while the Roffu screen flattens the grind just right.

LOL all this time I've been putting the screen in upside down

I've been looking all over and what little screens I have laying around, they're way too stiff for this kind of stamping... EUREKA!! The ROFFU silicone-ringed screen used in the glass and metal tubes will fit just right into the Jo_Da Glass.

    Roffu vs. V3Pro

Took the words out of my fingers. Ever since I got the WPA, I've used the metal stem without considering the glass; my curiosity is dwarfed by my satisfaction with the way it is now. My intuition is that since the caps are metal, it makes sense to keep the metal-to-metal contact (even if it...

    Roffu vs. V3Pro

Good to know the warranty would cover the issue. It's not a terrible annoyance as long as it works. If and when I buy another, I'd be more attentive to using the warranty for something like that. I've had the unit over a year with no other issues. Love it just the same!

And sometimes the unit doesn't get the command and you wind up maniacally pressing the button until it responds. It actually winds up with more than 5 presses because sometimes it doesn't respond in the first place to turning on or off. That just came up on the ROF subforum.

Yes, I've bought two and both do exactly this, and one or two other digital farts. I never thought to raise it to XLUX since it doesn't seem to affect operation. Good that they should be aware of it though.

Wondering if anyone else has observed that the "tube" that slides over the heater screen on the ROFFU gets a lot looser over time? Just per this picture, the tube will slide up and down with hardly and "grab" to it; it used to be much snugger. Maybe not a huge deal but every degree counts on...

Thanks, Les. I can appreciate a different approach of temp stepping as low as 150C, and I have when I've loaded the tube directly with herb. I think the ROFFU heater is outstanding. But IMO, the temperature "profile" of a dosing capsule would add some additional hysteresis to the unit's...

@LesPlenty thanks for the detailed reply! I'd been using a temperature "gradient" going from 180 to 220º in three steps to get the most out of the load while stirring. It seems like it's best to just put it at a high temp to get the whole mass heated fast. You're correct, I'm confused, but I...

SO that makes two screens that are removed for the capsule: that little circle screen that fits inside the cylinder, and the grommeted screen in the cap. I'm having second thoughts about that approach because then the capsule is swimming back and forth in free space; which if upside down, there...

Thanks, both of ya, and @Petetbay Ah the cleaning! And I was just looking at the cooling unit screen thinking that it should indeed be removed. I imagine you've done as I have and (once the capsule is cool enough), removed and turned it around to get the airflow going from the other end...

FWIW I've been using the XMAX WPA ... hopefully this image shows up: https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-ul77vcnblr/images/stencil/1280x1280/products/167/2210/Roffu_2-in-1_MP-WPA__70284.1665164046.jpg?c=2 I love this thing. @Old Stoner1958 you'd mentioned you're using dosing capsules... I just...

I have the blue one as well, and I know it IS blue, but I can't help but see it more as "white". Maybe it's my eyes, but "powder blue" is even too dark to describe this color. The first unit I bought a couple of months ago didn't have this issue, but the second one I just got today, it sucks...

REALLY nice of XVape.... they wrote back saying they will replace it straightaway. All I did was email them to say it wasn’t a real problem yet, just a heads up on the warranty. Great customer service.

    XVape XLUX ROFFU

Yep, so I went ahead and wrote to XVAPE USA to give them a heads up. I believe the warranty is for one year, so that's a good amount of time. If the problem remains as it is currently, I can certainly live with the quirk! Thanks for talking me down

I should say by methodical I mean “rhythmic”, quick succession but deliberate. Battery level doesn’t matter; it’s happened whether full or low on charge.

Still loving the performance of this baby.... I typically have good electronics karma, except for the Grasshopper, that was a slaughter and I'm glad to be beyond it ... but there's something going on with Roffu... Tapping the Power Button 5 times. Once in a while, it will vibrate...
