I'm having the same issue. What I do now is unscrew and remove the top (around the MP) so that the basket comes out gently. You still need to hold the TM upside down.

I wouldn't even need this : I know that after just one second the Bowle is ready, either with press and release or press and hold. Of course this doesn't apply to temp changes where you need to visually check. :-)
