Thanks! One more thing you could try: swap batteries with the whole cooling unit off the device, and the bowl removed. That's how I first noticed my heater heating up while powered off. With the bowl inserted I could barely feel the heater heating up- but it still is...It's just WAY more...

it happens with every battery swap. when I insert a new battery I get the haptic feedback and the heater heats up. does yours not act the same way?

I have the HR edge and don't use it anymore. With the screen mod the v3pro is definitely less restrictive than the edge. I finally found my digital caliper, so I'm gonna take measurements of that screen tonight and post them.

I personally don't see any benefit to keeping the thick metal screen holder. It retains heat more than the basket screen I'm using, therefore making the hits slightly hotter. And @Thunderbelch you may not have increased airflow much, because that thick ring reduces the airpath fairly...
