The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie (Pre Release Prototype) Comparisons

I can't wait for the Tempest click discs and visual indicator.... At the moment, I am using the Anvil ThermoCore over the Tempest (unregulated) most of the time because of the click discs. The Anvil ThermoCore has improved the heat duration to a level to what feels like about double the...

i'm still using the same screen, I have never changed it just cleaned it when I cleaned the rest of the tempest

I'd say the Anvil one wouldn't work for the Tempest as the hole it sits in is significantly larger and the Heat matrix is within the heatsink so, works pretty well as it is, I just need to get a replacement as mine didn't come with a magnet at all I've got pretty used to removing the heat...

I got the Anvil ThermoCore oven... it has improved heat retention (over the duracore) and it works in the Wand with the same powerdraw as the Tempest, It actually heats up in the same time as the Tempest - 315c (or was it 320) until timeout gets 2 clicks. I have had the ThermoCore for a couple...

*waves* Well that's been a most messed up Christmas period in a while... I've missed FC... I have a bunch of stuff that arrived over this period that I haven't had a chance to use properly but I got the scrubwoofer heat sink which is really good actually... It helps cool the cap quicker which...

@Necra I love that you implemented (ages ago) a random thought I had when I first used the device. Merry Christmas all

Merry Christmas All - I have enjoyed all the experimentation and comradeship. Thank you @Brenyo for being a big part of bringing us together and best of luck with the final parts and release that we are on the edge of our seats for.

I have to be honest... I am really missing the temperature features of the release Tempest at the moment... its been slowly causing the test kit Tempest, to be something I use "every now and then", to enjoy the experience and ritual... but the test kit Tempest is not something I can rely on to...

I feel you, I don't have a favourite vape, I have vapes for different occasions :)

@jbm this is me - I messaged @RedZep earlier basically saying the same thing, using the screwball and tempest at the moment and when I get up in the morning (lunchtime) I like to sit down with the Tempest, its my preferred first cannabis use of the day, its a really nice experience / ritual and...

    The Screwball by Vapvana

Thanks mate, started 480f and went up to 520f (10f increments) just to have a look. I think I enjoy using the full bowl at 490f even though its an extra draw of vapour - so the sessions longer than using a higher temperature - but its a nicer vape. I tried the half bowl setting for a minute but...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

@RedZep ever since you said the Tempest was your favourite vape... I keep asking myself "What's my favourite vape?" but I decided not to bother with favoritism but I got a new vape, a convection dominant ball vape and I prefer the Tempest in almost every way (temperature control and back to back...

    The Screwball by Vapvana

hey guys... save me from searching through the thread please, your mates in pain and just wants to jump in at the best possible point. My screwball is set up, I want to smack this pain on its head, what would you recommend I set the settings to? I'm starting with 0.4g flower for a few bowls...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

*smiles* welcome to the dark side, I think I prefer the full bowl even if only half full as I like the conduction/radient heat that gets added over time by the bowl. The half bowl setting is great and has great flavour and cloud and awesome efficency but... the full is still my preferred. I...

I have never owned a glass rig for more than like 2 or 3 months before I have broken it. I used to use a Mega globe when the Freight Train back in the day (oct 2022) and I have a couple of factory second Mega Globes on the shelf. The Qarisma Rig is solid, stable, effective and has lasted...

** just sharin’ ** us Aussies at the moment get the EU kit with the EU jug plug cable; threw me for 6 as I nearly never get electronics from overseas and I’d never seen an EU 250V power cord *shrugs* so I reused the cord from the retired Freight Train and just got her all set up and thought id...

The last thing I needed has finally arrived! @Brenyo She doesn’t know it yet as she is asleep but, I’m roping my girlfriend into doing the fix for me #wifematerial (I can’t as I shake because of the pain I’m in).

I never use the Anvil native, always with glass, so I agree with this, but I can see a wooden sleave that would fit and act like 14mm / 18mm WPA would be an easy aftermarket add on - best of both worlds *shrugs*
