You won't need to spend 200 euro to find a cooling solution. I myself use no water, just a small dry glass pipe (sherlock) connected to the Solo's WPA and I find the cooling great. You can also find small bubblers and little water pieces if you want to be more discreet. Have a look some more...

Just did a quick read on vapor pressure for my curiosity and I had the relationship inverted. Conductive effects (temp increase) would raise, not lower the vapor pressure of the flower (trichomes) but the end result is the same, a state change would be easier.

With the right cooling you can use the full temperature range of the Solo. I think you'll find the high you're looking for 🙂.

That is a very cool method. I will try that for sure at some point. I have some concerns though. When you say to "remove the oven after the 1st click and drop in a nugget", I'm assuming you're using a magnet to unscrew the hot oven? This should instantly start cooling it down... so.... Do...

If you want to work at high temps right from the start then yes, you'll need some good cooling to tame the vapor. I agree that higher temps will give you the stony effect you're looking for but it depends how fast you want to get there. You can get there quickly by ripping the S3 at temps...

Conduction can be a very good thing. I'm seeing this trend as I get more data points with different vapes. What can make a hybrid vape magical though is some degree of control over the conduction? I believe there is some "goldilocks" zone where conductive effects make vapor production easier...

    Which vaporizer? TM2 - Solo 3 - Tempest?

Dynavaps definitely punch above their weight due to the conduction factor but the S3 is no slouch in the conduction department for giving you that intense, stony high. I love dynavaps, and they have their place in my collection but it isn't really a fair fight between these two. The XL bowl...

If you want something more conductive then the Solo can do that. It does have an on-demand mode where it can be similar to the TM2, ie. convection biased but that's where the similarities end. If you use it in session mode, your flower will bake even without inhaling and it is most definitely a...

Ok. Any reason why you use gems with the side bubbler? Is the vapor really that hot?

Ok, thanks for the tips! I was planning to use it either with the side bubbler dry, or inverted with the WPA and a dry pipe of my own. I didn't want to invest in any cooling balls because I don't think they're as effective and they're a pain to clean.

    Which vaporizer? TM2 - Solo 3 - Tempest?

I have to agree that the S3 is a crowd pleaser. It's my go-to portable right now as well. It's just so versatile and easy. It really came out of left field for me because I had been chasing that session style, joint type experience with things like the Stunner (ball vape, cigarette style vapes)...

I knew there might be consequences for skimming this thread before ordering but I'd read that the availability of this thing has been spotty lately so I wasted no time ordering. I didn't know there was a code for free shipping but I tried WHIFF10 and that worked. I wonder if you could stack...

Seems I'm late to the party here.... Ordered. I can take a hint. I don't need any more people in this thread threatening me with a good time. 20-22s heatup with the Wand and smooth tasty vapor? Does hash and whole buds? Um... yes please. Unless my eyes deceive me, @electrokho82's video was...

Oh I'll do a review  I think some users in here who actually own S3s think this beast is even tastier. I'm impressed with the halogen signature already so I don't think those are idle observations. I need to see for myself. Right now the S3 is king of my portables so let's see if the...

Just pulled the trigger on an AE from SoothingVapours. I couldn't ignore all the good feedback from some trusted posters in here any longer. I've been stalking the unit for a while and I'm still in love with the halogen flavors from the desktop that @Vaporooni built for me so I'm excited to...

Nice! I got mine from dhgate. It's also not expensive. I chose to use an 18mm pipe with a low-rise 14mm reducer (which you can also find on dhgate). If anyone's interested I can post the links later.

I'm just gonna chime in on the stem hysteria here. I highly recommend using the WPA with a dry pipe if you want the best cooling. Dimples help a lot but it's the 90deg bends in glass that do the heavy lifting as far as cooling is concerned imo. If you don't mind looking like Sherlock Holmes...

Totally agree. I don't own an Anvil but the S3 is the most powerful portable vape I own. By far. It can actually compete with the desktops I have. I temp-step an XL bowl (0.3 ish grams) from 328F->358F->378F and it's dense clouds for days during a 10 minute session. The hits at 328F aren't...

Hang in there! I actually got a dud with my first unit (battery wouldn't charge properly) but the replacement has been rock solid.

Welcome to the club! I completely agree about the versatility of the S3. It's lovely to be able to jam little nug-lets into a stem without grinding and still get a perfect roast with great flavor.
