    What causes harsh hits?

If I am trying to smooth out a hit, I look at three possibilities approaches the bud, hardware or me. Bud that is not well cured is often harsh, and some strains just have more bite, etc. Next there is the hardware; obviously some vapes just hit hotter and/or harder than others, and some folks...

    Top "Microdoser"

After cleaning the WPA on an E-Nano and resetting its screen, it occurred to me that one could use the same adjustable screen WPA with a PID powered ELEV8R. That way, one gains the ability to easily move the load closer to or further away from the heater opening, as on the E-Nano which really...

    Top "Microdoser"

Commenting as a small dose user of the Flip Brick, OG E-Nano and an ELEV8R injector vape. Flip Brick in my case, has the most variables to control, so it is hardest to produce repeatable small dose (.05 g) acceptable results. Heat-wise, it's capable of fast high temperature hits once one gets a...

What should my next glass purchase be?

Flavor, less filtration often means more taste. If going with water, go with the minimal amount that makes you comfortable and step it up or down every so often to see if your preferences change. Filtration, again a little goes a long ways (IMO) if you are considering water. If one's gear is...

What should my next glass purchase be?

What are you looking for? A longer vapor path for cooling, water interaction for filtering, volume for bigger his or something else.

    Vaping frequency

My recent trip down the small dose rabbit hole started with .04 g to .06 g loads that were temperature stepped from 318 f to 383 f using a PID driven ELEV8R. The taste was nice on the first hit, the second was less tasty but productive, and the third and at times a fourth hits were cleanups. For...

/r/vaporents is a toxic cesspool and when I questioned it the mods removed my post in less than 5 minutes.

I've been on reddit for 10 years, and that subreddit is still, mods aside, just going off user interactions, one of the most toxic subreddits I have participated in. ... Reddit is what it is and there is little an individual participant can do about its nature, this is where a thick hide and...

/r/vaporents is a toxic cesspool and when I questioned it the mods removed my post in less than 5 minutes.

There is nothing social about some social media sites, so you have to have a thick skin. Having gone crosswise with the mods on vaporents my response is usually this, their site, their rules so if I want to post there I need to respect that, regardless how much I disagree with policy and power...

    E-Nano from Epicvape

Bravo Sir. How does it work with just bud? What dial setting are you using? How long is the adapter? Hope you don't mind the questions, it's just such an appealing approach. TIA

    Micro-dosing

I believe we may sort our bud and leaf differently, and that my weight estimate occurs at a point where grinding presents me with a more uniform mass to base an estimate on.

    Micro-dosing

If one can get good repeatability in load size without a scale, they are good to go in my opinion. I can get consistent loads between .05 and .06 with a loading tool (but, verified via a scale) if I pay attention. For my small dose needs, that is close enough for daily use.

    E-Nano from Epicvape

The ceramic rod heater probably expands and contracts at a different rate than the metal tube when heated or cooled, so if the fit were too tight, it could cause the heater to break. Another possibility, the gap, allows for ease of manufacture. Lastly, when I opened my E-Nano I noticed a fair...

    The ELEV8R from Elev8 Vehicles

Being an old guy with fat fingers, I really dislike the crowded buttons on the ELEV8R PID, the closeted thing to a fix I could find was a pencil with an eraser and paying close attention to the speed that the temperature ramped up and down when the buttons were held down.

    What made you switch?

When I was just a smoker, I was always looking for things to improve the experience, and that naturally led to vapes.

    Your Vaporizer Deal Breakers

What downsides I am willing to accept depends on what the candidate vape has to offer in exchange. For example, if it's just a larger load size, than any small fault will see me walkaway. However, if a new vape could significantly extend the number of flavorful hits I could get with it, then I...
