i wonder why the pre-orders process with so many vape companies, do this? don't think this is just an exclusive Airvape launch problem. idk it is frustration, indeed.

At first I didn't mind waiting but I feel bad for you Dr. G. That's ridiculous, so much so that I think I will be canceling my April 15th order! I emailed them today and if I don't hear back in a week that might be it.

If your companies financials are tight it can make a big difference to have the money from pre-orders come in a few months earlier than you are going to ship the device. It removes the need to estimate how many pre-orders there are going to be, and you can pay for the production cost with the money from the pre-order sales, instead of having to front the money in hopes that there are going to be as many pre-orders as you paid to be produced

Thank you.

I always have loved the ALP and have always been a huge fan. Gary always communicates and I have certain situations in the past that were taken care of pretty fast.

It is very strange the lack of communication I must say....I have never experienced this with him or this company. My friend that ordered at the same time as I did never got a tracking number...or emails. So...I am not sure what in the world is going on and I am going to be more confident that Gary will get in touch soon and clarify everything. In the meantime, I am enjoying another launch that happened without a hitch...a brand-new company too. I wish Gary and Alp all the best...it's a very competitive market as we all know and these things can set back a company big time.

All the best to Pistol Pete. Cheers,

DrG

I've only ever contacted Airvape (EU) customer service once, about 2 months ago, because I wanted to order a replacement lid for my AVLP1 (I wanted to mod it to work with S&B dosing capsules, but didn't want to ruin my original lid) and never got a reply.

I wouldn't even mind if they said no to me ordering the part, since they don't stock the lid as a replacement part and it's clearly not a warranty case. Still disappointed they didn't even bother to reply

Yes, I know, at least they don't stock it on their website where you can order the other replacement parts. I was hoping they might be willing to sell one to me if I contacted them, and I would have been perfectly fine with getting a "no" as reply. But not even replying to the email is a bit rude, and worries me if I ever do have to make a warranty claim.

At this point I just hope the lids of the AVLP and AVLP2 are interchangeable, then I can mod one of them and keep the other stock

I will say this, they’re responsive wrt warranties. I’ve gotten very good service from them in that regard. They’re just absolutely shit at rolling out new devices transparently. But there’s far too much company fetishism in the vape world to begin with.

Thats nice to hear, especially since they are (to my knowledge) the only manufacturer advertising lifetime warranty

The glass G3 might be worth a look. It's $40 and apparently the flavour is good
I ended up snagging an hr 2 to hold me over since I already have a bunch of lobo accessories. It was mailed to me fairly quickly. Just thankful to be vaping and not smoking again. 🙏 Now I can patiently wait for my avlp2

Yeah this was a consideration with my previous comments that the only reasonable explanation they aren't sharing about delays and issues (beyond a cryptic reply from Gary here) is the potential financial strain from a wave of cancelations.

To your point, as well as to reaffirm mine, if the preorder slick and subsequent delay email had more realistic or simply more conservative dates to properly set expectations then none of us would be commenting in here.

The frustration is because they are not credible at all and have left us all wondering and stewing. The negative sentiment they create will only harm them.

Maybe that is the trick. I ordered on the 15th, and nothing yet. Last word was it should have gotten here sometime last month. Maybe you have to call to get moved up the list.

I’ve never owned a device from this company before, and if this is an indication of their customer service, I don’t know that I want too now. I forgot to order dosing capsules when I ordered the device, and now I’m wondering if I do order the caps if they will ever get here, or if a device to use them in will ever show up.

Pretty disgruntled so far.

I received an email with tracking number today. I ordered on the 15th in the us. For what it is worth, I did receive the dosing capsules very quickly when I ordered mine.

I ordered caps about a week before I thought I was going to get the device. They were here in about 5 days. Still don't have the device and I ordered on 4/15.

hmm...I'll be curious to see if the reason the orders are being sent out at a snail's pace is from manually/individually fixing the cork bubble-ups from the first batch... and then the rest are delayed in China as they fix them over there... one box at a time.

I think it's entirely possible that the first batch was a small "test-batch" and they went ahead and sent them to reviewers/influencers/the earliest pre-orders...

could be but maybe is a problem with personnel/quality control, shipping dept. that's what got out of Gary's later posts.
maybe why he hasn't been forth-coming with any news because he cannot depend on the manufacturing side of the business estimates.
it seems likely he doesn't want to commit to another set of missed deadlines or ship dates.
i know it sucks but there could be so many reasons. hell he could be sick or something. i think he'll return sooner than later.

The quintessence is that we should not have to guess anything here at all, but receive official information, that's it.
Last year I preordered a vape from another company which also got delayed about a month or two, but we have been getting updates every week and guess what... everyone was ok with the situation, because we knew what was going on. It's as simple as that.

Once again, I checked my email yesterday in the hopes of getting the golden message that yes, my vape had shipped - and once again, I felt the crush of disappointment when no such missive had arrived. So, I sent them an email asking when could I expect it since the delay is becoming arduous. Happily, Bernadette promptly replied this morning:

"Thank you for getting in touch, and please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

While we initially aimed to begin shipping in late June to early July, unexpected production and logistics issues unfortunately caused further setbacks.

We began fulfilling April 15 orders three weeks ago, but due to the high volume of orders placed that day and delays in shipment arrivals, the process has taken longer than anticipated.

The good news is we’re expecting a fresh inventory shipment to arrive this week, which will allow us to resume fulfillment—and your order is expected to be included in that upcoming batch.

We truly appreciate your continued patience and understanding. If you have any other questions or need assistance in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out."

Hooray!! Finally. Back to joyful anticipation instead of crushing despair 😂

I ordered mine in the wee hours of 4/21. The order # is 208524**.
