I don't have a TM2 but I can experiment more in this area when I have time. I did try some on-demand sessions as low as 215C yesterday and they were quite good but it definitely helps to restrict the airflow a little. It's soooo wide open at the max airflow setting. I think I can get good results on-demand at even lower temps than 215C.
I'm starting to find the heater so powerful that I'm looking for lower temps to find the flavor/performance sweet spots. The heater can definitely easily give your flower the popcorn/burn-y taste quickly if the settings are too high.

I would say this is purely down to the airflow restriction on the TM2. If you close up the airflow by about 1/2 to 3/4 on the Frolic, you can acheive much better hits on lower temps using on-demand.
I am still learning how the Frolic works like Tigole said, to find the sweet spot, but its still surpassing my expectations in almost every way.
In terms of comparisons against the TB2, I havent really used the Frolic enough yet. The TB was my daily driver up until the Frolic arrived. The more open airflow and form factor of the Frolic are definitely advantages over the bowle but until I can get the Frolic dialled in perfectly, it still doesn't quite match up to the simplicity of the TB2 when it comes to loading, killing the bowl, and dumping out the spent herb.

It does an amazing job at both cooling and creating smooth vapour. I haven’t felt the need to attach it to my bong yet at all.
I’d say it’s on par with the TB2 but the vapour signature is different and because of the airflow difference it hits in a different way.
More testing needed which will take time as I’m just getting so blasted with the frolic.

With the airflow adjustments and temp its pretty agile. Heavy in vapor smoothness in my opinion is just below the tafee and above the venty. Usually when im testing a portable I struggle not grabbing a ball vape. I've used a ball vape maybe 4-5 times since I got it and that was mostly to do some side by sides
Vapor sig is interesting its venty like in my opinion but more satisfying

I have noticed that the Frolic terp notes just aren't as bright or pronounced as the TB2 (don't have a Venty to compare). The Frolic vapor is cool and smooth and definitely satisfying but I miss the edgy, sharp, sneeze-inducing terps you can get with the TB2. Maybe that's just me. I'll keep playing with temp and airflow and see if coax them out. I guess you're seeing a bit of the same thing having a TB2.

Even if the simplicity doesn't get to the point of the TB2 I can still safely say this portable will be my go-to outside the house because of the form-factor and Bowle-like capabilities.

I really enjoy his reviews and had already seen both videos he has on the frolic, but I believe most of his reviews are generally more focused on the higher end of the temp range of vapes, so i try to get input on that lower temp perspective from other sources. Thanks @TigoleBitties @Zero_Combustions for your responses. It seems the Frolic might be my next portable.

Troy def likes to take his bowls to the brink of the vaping/charring line. He likes vapes that can blast clouds.
I don't have all these vapes, but I do platoon between a TB2 and TM2 as my daily users. I never thought of them as which is better, but just what your in the mood for. Sometimes the same bud provides a different taste or different effects through each. I'm following the thread for comments about low-temp hits for flavor and cooling. The Frolic will have to really impress me to start a new rotation. My TM2 is pretty damn perfect, re-calibrated and set below 2. I wish the TB2 had a setting between 2 and 3, but it's a pleasure to sit back with some freshly ground herb and cigar puff through the terp flavors.
As someone who also likes to take things to the brink, to extract everything hard and fast, I'm happy the frolic impresses troy so much. That said, I get overwhelming terps from my Fury3 and Fusion2 when pushing it that hard, which I think lends to the hybrid heating, and would be disappointed if the frolic didn't keep up somehow. My TM2 has great flavor, too, but less so and I push it right up to nearly charring.
I love seeing the initial thoughts and comparisons to the frolic, and am eager to see how it compares with my own devices.

Hmm! Maybe I should get the TB2 after all for the foolproof simplicity. Unfortunately getting the "iPhone" of vapes has a price... I still have my preorder spot for the Frolic so I could get it for €280, whereas the TB2 would cost me €439 (assuming Vapefully ever manages to get it out of customs)...
The cooling sounds great for both, then, if only a bit better on the TB2! One more reason to lean TB2...
However... @TigoleBitties When you say "edgy" and "sharp", are you exclusively referring to sneezing or does the TB2 actually cause you to cause more than the Frolic? Because for me most of the point of good cooling is to avoid irritating the lungs and coughing.

So after more time experimenting with the Frolic, I have been able to get the sharp terps I was looking for at lower on-demand (385F) temps with more restricted airflow (<50%). I will say that the TB2 process is still a bit quicker and less messy than the Frolic to load and vape a bowl, but the difference is minimal now. It took me a while to find the temps/airflow I've been searching for. The TB2 with its discrete temp levels and no airflow controls except your draw make it easier to get great hits right out of the box.
I would say the Frolic's cooling is on-par with the TB2. Neither of them need any extras to give you cool vapor. The TB2 can still safely be king for home use while the Frolic will be my rugged outdoor portable that brings the TB2-like quality with a better form-factor.
