Well then, it's not really open to all, now is it?
On the giveaway page it says "- The contest is open to everyone worldwide."
Perhaps that should be amended if giveaway entry is limited to a gatekeeping trophy system.
Furthermore, If trophies are to "encourage meaningful participation" I assure you it will not work. It will encourage random/new users to scramble to acquire them in order to enter the giveaway.
A bit paradoxical, no?

I will take the blame here. I wasn't thorough enough when I checked the contest post. I'll fix that.
Thanks for your assurances. It's worked as intended for several years, but we'll keep an eye out for when it starts to fail.

According to Dejan's last statements, sending out to reviewers should equal opening of sale.
US stock was reported ready to go and only halted as EU and UK wasn't as of last Thursday.
