1 or 2. I almost always finish my bowls, rarely save for later, so I don't think it makes much difference to me. When I'm out and want to take a quick couple of hits from my Roffu, I still use session mode and try to clear the heat after turning it off; I'm not sure what the difference would be in using on demand mode, besides having to hold the button.
