Howzit everyone. Got my 9mm ultra low profile Petal pipe on Monday. Been testing it since. Really loving this basically “Pipe for life.” Like others have said, this is an extremely durable pipe, that should outlast any vape you pair it with. I already dropped it a couple of times on concrete, and the reaction is more of a chuckle, rather than the usual gasp.

Customer service and shipping was awesome. I ordered late night last Thursday, and by the time I woke up and got ready for work, USPS already scanned it received. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. Also had a confirmation email from the sender that my package was on its way, and what was included.

I like the sleek look of the Petal pipe. Really digging the etching on the bottom as well. Fun to just look at it with different angled lighting.

Using the Lotus, the bowl area did get warm after the first bowl. The second bowl got uncomfortable to hold. I think it would be too hot to hold on a third bowl. Not a problem for me, as I never do 3 back to back bowls on the same device.
Now I always held under the bowl for my Lotus pipes. Always thought holding the stem was awkward. Didn’t realize that holding the stem on a j hook was the awkward part (curve and girth). Holding the stem on the Petal pipe is like holding a long ass dyna stem. I actually think its more comfortable to hold the stem, rather than the bowl, only because the bowl area is just a tiny nub to hold onto.

I bought the 9mm version strictly for the bigger bowl. I got pipes for my Tempest, so I didn’t think I’d be using this one, but had to try. I just put like five o-rings on and got a tight fit. Surprisingly, the Petal pipe handled the heat like a champ, only getting mildly warm after a second bowl. You could probably do a third bowl and still hold the pipe by the heatsink. And vapor was also surprisingly cool.

Thanks @maremaresing for the excellent customer service, extremely fast shipping to Hawaii, the long-lasting pipe, and the freebies. Truly appreciated.

Thank you @ezpz for that fantastic review!!! I love all these photos and will reiterate how nicely that pipe patterning fits with your other wooden items. A very nice weathered aesthetic. So pleased you have something that will withstand the daily abuses of life so you can feel more comfortable using the lotus wherever and however.

Really appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts on it. :D

25% Off 420 Sale is still going, and will run until 4/22! No need for discount codes, as the discount is baked into the listings. Also, no need to stress yourself tomorrow, as you can get a deal all the way through the 21st.

If you want something from me that is not currently listed, like something that went out of stock or a custom variation, no worries. You can PM me about it before the sale ends and I'll ensure you get the discount when I can provide that item to you. :)

I said I'd restock the petal pipes this week and I will as soon as I'm done with this post. Sadly, the 3 I'll be listing (shown below), plus the currently available 8mm Standard and Ultra Low variants, will be the last Petal Pipes I create for a couple weeks. My machine shop is getting moved to a better space (with a window!!!!), and I'm adding a Milling Machine. These changes should give improvements across the board, but I'll be slowed down initially as I setup and get familiar with the new tooling.

I also got a light box tent, and am amazed at the photos I'm getting. Just check these out!

9mm Petal Kiseru (MSRP $120)

I love a Kiseru, but was never able to find one that I deemed "safe" in materials or air path maintainability. Plus they don't make em for Thermal Extraction Devices. My intention for a long time has been to create beautiful and functional Kiseru for our favorite devices, and this is my first for the Lotus. (Well, my second, as I made a prototype for myself recently.)('But they were all of them deceived, for another Petal Kiseru was made...' ^_^)

The experience of holding a Kiseru in the bushi style (#3 below), at the pipe's balance point, is exquisite. It's relaxed, lazy, and satisfying. @ezpz found something similar to #2 to work well with their slim pipe, which was exciting to see.

These are a 3 part design, with a custom turned and fitted mouthpiece to go with the Petal Pipe base. Before final fitment every component is fully cleaned and dried, with a final exterior sanitization after assembly. These are hammer set, and should remain a single item for the life of the pipe.

9mm 'Tallboi' Petal Pipe (MSRP $89)

This is a varient of the 9mm Petal Pipe with an 8mm stem and a much taller base. Aside from the nice added heft and thermal mass, these are taller to accommodate a deeper bowl. The goal was to allow a 9mm TED to be inserted without removing the screen, for hot swapping. I had to make the bowl deeper for this, which also gives a higher capacity to the bowl, around .15g vs .1g (but you can still use smaller amounts to great effect).

9mm 'Tallboi' Hex Petal Pipe with flat mouthpiece (MSRP $99)

Additionally, the tip has been worked into a "whistle tip" flattened style, which I personally find very comfortable. The Hex stem base has had every corner and edge smoothed, providing an interesting shape without harshness. Much like the bottoms, I worked these corners and stem until everything had an interesting grain and smoothness. Also, the bottom design came out really fantastic lending to the hexagonal shape vs circular.

It takes a lot longer to make something like this, but I am extremely happy with the result.

------------------------

LAST but not least, I created a custom pipe for someone last week that I'm excited to share with you. They requested something for the Thermal Accumulator (TA) that could both be cool to hold and inhale from. I don't have personal experience with the TA but, apparently, it transfers heat from contact with the device and in the vapor. Metal stems and such generally get too hot to use with the TA, but I like an interesting challenge.

Having not seen or held a TA, I'm really pleased with the aesthetic match between this 6 inch pipe (Short Kiseru imo) and the TA head. By putting a beefy heat fin along the top, as well as a small pedestal for the TA head attachment hole, heat doesn't make it to the bottom where it's held. Even better, the heavy matching mouthpiece provides the balance to hold Kiseru style by the stem, further distancing the user from any discomfort.

We were both very happy with the result!
