Who has the best live hash rosin?

I know enlightened hemp co sources theirs from ace lure, we at least they used to. Not sure anymore since they went to discord. Lucky Elk gets some top shelf from Stafeli farms and it has been pretty damn good. I see the mary's have some 'craft' hash rosin, which is craft always means expensive not necessarily better. No way I'm paying 100$/g or anything close to that. I see some 710 live rosin for sell at times but they seem overrated as well, at least what they askin for it. Puffin seems to be priced around the top of the range I would want to pay (70/g at most). The golden age of cannabis is upon us now, and being able to get these shipped to your mailbox is just amazing. So who has the best of the best out there?

Best of the best is subjective by what state you are in...

Of the states I frequent, I tend to favor:

Colorado- Lazercat
Montana - Groove Solventless
Illinois- some say IC, I think Revolutions small batch offerings are still better.
Nevada- Medizin

Still never seen Piatella in the wild but I have my eyes open. I don't expect to find it retail but more likely from a caregiver or hobbyist.

IMO the best products are found in older markets, I'd take anything from Colorado or Cali over anything from Illinois. Cherokee Nation was also interesting, I don't think it was ever on the menu but the budtender claimed all their rosin stock was wiped out by the hurricane.

I shop in the SoCal rec market. I’m not a huge rosin guy but I dabble. I think 710 Labs is my favorite overall mostly due to the variety I see from them. The higher tier 710 stuff is quite expensive so I try to grab it on sale. I feel like the concentrate selection is not as wide ranging as the flower selection here in SoCal. The rosin market is flooded with Z terps and Papaya and stuff like that. It’s much easier for me to find the genetics I like in flower form. I’ve heard the best concentrates are mostly found in the grey market here. Kalya is another brand I like but I don’t know which other states they are in currently.

You can buy live hash rosin from any state for the most part, mailed to your box. Live hash rosin, at least the good stuff, is just thca anyway, which is 100% legal, though some states are trying to ban it bc of loss of tax monies. I actually just seen some piatella for sale but seems like that stuff is way over hyped. Live hash rosin should be better than that.

Just seeing what is some of the better brands out there. Got some vendors selling a lot of live hash made in Cali, but they pretty crazy with the pricing, some being $100 a gram.

How much concentrate do you use in an average week?

Alamora is a pretty good brand if you ever see it available... CBX cannabiotix too

Yeah so I have had good mail order hemp hash rosin from blue ridge bubble actually after trying a few (cowboy ventures decent and preston herb co good but better live resin somehow lol) but cannot compare to black market I have from Seattle... Still need to find it in LA myself, was told to check out "Mr. Choww" in Ktown for it though

Yeah a lot of the major brands have rosin etc top tier available sometimes like 710 labs, even stiiizy or raw garden too, they have top tier rosin grams available and sometimes not that expensive especially if at the right dispensary with the right sale...

I’ve never seen Alamora down here in SD. I like CBX flower but I had a disappointing experience with their cold cure rosin, so I’ve been staying away. Maybe it was just a bad batch. Their flower is usually on point!

Almora. Sorry that was a typo! Yeah I haven't had that much from CBX but they seem to be reliable, there are so many different levels of different types of concentrate from everybody so it's hard to know, like I was saying about the others, if it's their top tier often it can be good even if the brand might have other stuff that's not great? I don't think I even had CBX top tier, I had a serial milk sugar and a blueberry dry sift rosin that were good, definitely others better

not much at all. I can definitely get some 710 labs thca live rosin but word is that they just hype, which I believe it. Can get some other boutique live rosin, but imo boutique hemp/rosin/etc only means that it will be expensive, nothing else. Some of these are being sold 200-230$ for 2 grams. Ain't no way that shit is worth it. I've had really good luck with 50-70$ a gram live rosin. Ace Lure from MI (I think thats their state) is sold by a thca site and it was some of the best I've gotten, haven't ordered from them in a year or so. Really would like to find an vendor who grows in house and then makes it in house.

Also properly made live rosin is going to be 99% thca no matter what, black market, rec/medical market, etc. With hemp, you don't have all that added on bullshit taxes that make it more expensive, when its the exact same as the other markets.

not much at all.
It was a rhetorical question; your first response made it absolutely clear that you have nominal experience but thank you for confirming.

Enjoy your journey, you can stick to your mail order hemp extracted crap or any thca isolate, but ALL that shit sucks... there is a lot more to experience, and learn, go full spectrum.

The higher priced are boutique small batch that can't be found on the regulated market but have unique genetics and cult like following for their small library of cultivars/menu when they drop.

Top flower brands: Teds Budz, CBX, Team Elite Genetics, 710 Labs

Top solventeless: Kalya, 710 Labs, Rosin Tech Labs, Trilogy 710

These brands consistently produce fire in California regulated market, prices range $50-60+ usually good quality flavor profile. Let me know if you can point me to that flavorful fire?

I just want to point out that the difference between great and average rosin often just comes down to proper storage and handling conditions.

Great rosin not handled properly can become average / mid extremely fast. It has the worst shelf life / stability of any extract.

Mail order in particular could be totally “dead” by the time it arrives after a few warm days in courier trucks.

That said the best rosin definitely comes direct from the grower or washer. It shouldn’t really be that expensive either, the California market has tons of small batch providers competing for the same customer. Maybe I just know the right outlets after being in the game long enough, but I’ve even had $20 (at wholesale) rosin that was pretty good.

Yea, nothing beats the flavor like freshly washed batches. I prefer fresh press rosin but I do like cold cured batter’s ease of use, temperature stability, consistency, and retention of the flavor profile. Regardless of starting quality, storage is important, as well as allowing the rosin/hash to get to room temp or close to it before opening the jar to avoid attracting condensation and water into it, and reducing oxidation.
