Help with my bong

Hi fellow fc’ers I have a mega globe and when I clean it with iso there is like a cloud where the water is I can’t seem to clean it. I used salt I use 99 percent iso idk wat to do short of buying a new piece .

Simple is the way
PBW is the brand name for the cleaner. I think it stands for powdered brewers wash. It’s used in home brewing to clean out those large glass carboys with the narrow openings.

Sorry for not recommending trying denture cleaning tabs when I 1st read the thread - I thought the vinegar would do the job, to be honest.
I plop a couple of the tabs in with a little oxy clean to keep it all fizzing away and let it soak for a while to attack anything I can't scrub off with my bendy brushes and hot washing up water, out of habit really these days, as PBW used to be hard to come by here and I can pick them up in the local shops.

Yes I think that's the job for PBW, also had this cloudy layer you describe build up over time that iso failed to get rid of but a long rinse of PBW was able to take it out. You will have to let it sit for a while and let it do its work, and shake it a bit a few times, and the stuff will slowly detach. You can get some silicone plugs to kep the PBW solution in while shaking.

So I clean my grown up boys combustion piece after he visits fortnightly. After a while this builds up a white layer too. I live in a hard water area so limescale is something I have to deal with. I decided to try a quick rinse with descaler and it works beautifully. Now it's a regular thing every couple of months. Makes the glass speaker like new again IME. If it's bloom though you may not have any luck at all.

I just ordered some PBW as well after seeing this thread.

I keep my adult glass pretty clean, but some of them are starting to cloud from use.

This stuff also works on hard water scaling on glass as well, and some of my regular glassware are cloudy so i am gonna soak those.

Appreciate the recommendations. Apologies for bogarting the thread, but just wanted to say thank you.

Water at 140 to 160 Fahrenheit I just put my foucet super hot and a tablespoon of pbw fill bong with hot water little shake to activate and let it sit for 30 to 45 min then rinse with hot water should be shining .

Don’t get scared when u empty the bong and the fog is still there I panicked but after the rince it’s all gone .
