I'm intrigued, as i've never had a better dab than off a ruby insert cold started in a banger/rig. What size dabs are possible? The Cricket bb seemed way too small for a device I had to clean so much between hits.

I can't remember what dish came with my qomo but it tasted so bad of silicone I couldn't even use the device. Are you saying that the LP is a little better quality hit than the qomo?

It amazes me how different we all are... some people can smell/taste/detect silicone, and some others simply can't.
The LP is better than the qomo
It gives similar hits to a proper rig in a pen format
The quartz dish is the one I have used in the qomo - there is no taste until you either use highest temp or keep hitting the button and over heating for me - them the flavour is noticeable
The qomo is like a fully functional stoner toy, works well and is cheap enough you could throw it away or lose it without as much concern as other vapes

The LP is much better if I'm being honest

The pockety with ruby dish is top dog
You can cold start or hot start
The thermocouple temp sensor keeps the dish at perfect temp always so you never burn your dab or waste oil
The flavour off the ruby is spot on and the maintenance is way better than a banger setup
It's a full sized 16mm dish so you can huff big chonker dabs if you want or you can do small pin sized if that's your preference

The LP only takes smaller dabs too, but more than what I've heard the cricket does
The pockety is the go to for a proper dab rig hit that is portable, the LP is fire for smaller quick dabs or a more discreet/travel option

Didn't know I was in the market for an e-rig until I saw the Dr. Dabber XS Nano on sale 40% off. Suddenly, I could see myself wandering through my garden at sunset, sipping on my Dr. Dabber XS Nano. My mind had me at the beach, bundled up and freezing, but hitting the XS before heading over to the Sea Lions, or wandering through the Redwoods blowing clouds. So yeah, I was already high from the Dab-Ready and Most Excellent Home Pressed Home Grown, and $94 dollars was out of my pocket before I could quash the Dreams.
I'm glad I went with it. It's fun, easy to use, easy to clean. It's a different and worthwhile experience. I  my XS Nano, and that makes today a good day.

These sort of feelings are what have me buying things I never use repeatedly so I'm trying to be more careful now lol like really I hardly leave the house anyway!:lol::uhoh::cool:

@felvapes what about the stock water piece? Any issues with water splashing up into mouth?
No it's fine
Although I used it dry
I don't use it at all now though
I like the whip adaptor - I can one hit the dab like a normal rig with a bubbler or I usually use it with a bent gog and mp dry
I have a full review video on YouTube and cleaning/heater swap ones too
Also one hitting a dab with a bubbler
This one shows the Gog I use most of the time though on the whip adaptor
It's just a bent 14/14 gog with a longmada MP held on with with silicone orings

This one is a one shot hit with the bubbler

I love Northern California in the Spring. The poppies are lovely right now, from all the rains. I'd hate to miss it, and I don't find I have to go far to be outdoors enough for a portable, even if I don't go far afield. I'm thrilled with the Dr. Dabber XS Nano. It's an unexpected surprise I didn't know I needed. My only hesitation was that I have been using the Dab-Ready a lot, but I can go from desktop to portable for flower, so why no dabs? And I find I'm enjoying them both. A bit harder to sit on the porch sipping lemonade and using the Dab-Ready, as I don't like moving much vape equipment outdoors. The RIO are wonderful, but I feel a bit odd on the front porch with any sort of torch. People are often stopping to talk as they walk their dogs, and I don't want to concern the mailman, so flame is back yard only.
I can't say I buy much I never use, but it can't hurt to be careful if that's an issue for you. What I do is set my budget, fund my Vape Account, then just spend what's in there. It helps that I garden, and press my own dabs, etc ( kief, edibles, bubble hash) so I can focus on the gear and not the herb. It also helps that I know what I don't want, and would never buy. That way temptation doesn't win without me getting a reward. With the XS Nano I definitely feel rewarded.

Okay I like your style and will have to keep this one in mind (I prefer separate torch and rigs was not into the RiO but yeah I wish I fulfilled the outdoor use more I think I used linx blaze before a movie once at least lol) Alright someday I am going to need to come up north for outdoor dabbing adventures with you! But yeah need to do it here in the south too on my own somehow...

Late(er) to the party, but I have currently fallen in love with my Dr. Dabber Evo (with SiC cup)
Once I learned the joys of rosin, I never looked back.
Picked up a beaker and a couple of bangers.
Grew tired of this and went to a nectar collector.

I always knew I wanted to eventually get an e-rig and my pish ass buddy made mention of the Dr. D.
Thus far it more than meets my needs and desires. :D

Have you seen the thread comparing the puffco proxy & evolv cricket?

I've been messing with some old puffco peaks lately. I don't really like recommending puffco products as I think they are overpriced and the company doesn't care for it's customers.

That said if you can find an OG peak at a good price grab it! A company called 3grams makes an aftermarket atomizer that performs just like the "3D" atomizer on the peak pro. At a fraction of the price! I think it's around $50 and has lasted me almost 6 months with no issues. Easy to dry swab each use, remove and dunk in iso every few hundred dabs and good to go.

Very pleased with it for a total of ~$200 all in (og peak and 3grams atomizer).

It isn't as good as the Daab but is easier to use and clean. When I'm feeling lazy(often) I find myself reaching for the peak lately.

My erig needs have been met. Time to focus on a desktop setup!

My Daab has been going hard, daily..for over a year now. Haven't had a whole lot of desire for anything else, though I wish there were other glass options.

I'm curious why the concentrate market is so... corporate. While there are so many hand made artistic devices for flower.

I've wondered that myself as a lot of e-rigs look fairly similar i.e. mass produced. I haven't paid attention to concentrate vapes like I have with dry herb devices, so maybe they're out there?
The accessories is where the artistic side comes out, at least with the popular devices like Puffco for example. There is a ridiculous amount of tops, ball caps and tethers.
A wood body e-rig would be pretty awesome, although you'd need a fairly large block of wood. That could get expensive. The internals wouldn't be that difficult to assemble, but I suppose there is a bit more compared to something more basic like a log, Milaana, etc.

I feel like there's a market for artisnal e-rigs considering how much some glass tops are going for. $1000 Puffco Peak tops are selling, that's for sure.

The closest we have to artisanal e-rigs would be the Divine Tribe devices.

I've also upgraded my old aliexpress fake/backdoor "peak" with the 3g3d atomizer. It works really well but I feel like my battery is holding it back. I recently got a Pockety and I'm loving it, wish it had aftermarket glass like the peak does though, the ultimate is if I could get a Pockety bottomless banger setup. My main rig was a DTV5 in a BB, I made a 3d print to hold the mod on the side of an RBR and it's a sweet little rig but I think the Pockety has much better temp control.

I don't know about adaptors for other glass mate, that's a good idea though
I saw they have an adaptor they call a halo that goes from the mod to a male wpa with atty connection on top via a cord so you can use any glass you have

The bubbler that comes with it is decent enough, works well with no splash back at all
Yea I almost got aln, went with sic for $145
I might try a ruby for flavour too one day
And yea I saw they sell the 3d chamber with Ruby insert for around $180, the pockety comes with their "5d" chamber and with a ruby insert is $165 with the 50% off codes
Puffco tech without the $400+ price tag
I tried to find this halo adapter but I was unable to find any pictures of it with a Google search. It looks like maybe they stopped making it? I'm curious because it kind sounds like a bottomless banger for the pockety and that's exactly what I want. Can you point me to some pictures of it?

So I recently fell in love with concentrates and now I’d like to get an e-rig…
Wish I could pickup a Peak Pro, but it’s not in the cards for me right now.
Has anyone tried one of these?

It’s coming to 100$ USD shipped (with coupons) on DHGate. Hard to ignore that price.. but maybe I should save more for a Pockety or something?

@GratefulDread, you will probably get a few recommendations. Based on my experience, I can recommend the Core 2. For around $130, you get a reliable erig with a V5 ceramic bucket that kicks ass. I don't actually have the Core 2 because my OG Core is still going strong. I just upgraded to the V5 cup and one of the newer bubblers. When my OG dies, I'll get the Core 2 in a heartbeat. I have been using it every day for a couple years and the battery still lasts forever.
Divine Tribe has a lot of discussion in its reddit site, provides a 1 year warranty, free ship, and thankyou10 gives you a discount. I don't have any connection with them. I just love my Core. My :2c:

Nice find...proper temp control too using a sensor, nice!
Pity your link does not post to Oz as I can only find it for twice the price you posted.

Hmmm, you could try sending them a message and maybe they can help you out. It could just be an error.
But ya, it’s got a lot going for it for the price. 🤔
Edit: FYI this is the cheapest I’ve seen it in the last few weeks.

Aeris vs Proxy vs Cricket

My overall top pick is the Aeris. I just made a post in the Aeris thread with all the highlights.

Best build quality and most discrete goes to the Cricket.
That outer metal body is sexy as hell and the device itself is so damn small. I've discovered mine in my Pea coat on a few occassions. Definitely made the end of those days more enjoyable lol.

The magnetic cap/mouthpiece on the Cricket is still the biggest weak point (when taking the design into consideration). I got in the habit of using a fat wide elastic to keep the mouthpiece hole covered and to prevent the cap from coming off in my pocket.
FYI, the magnetic Aeris cap will not come off accidentally and Focus even includes a little cap to cover the vapor hole.
The cap not present error still give me issues but that's minor and I haven't checked for an update in months, so they may have fixed or tweaked that.

I am also not a fan of the Cricket's titanium dab surfaces as I can taste the metal. I'm definitely in the minority on that point. I also wish I could take larger dabs but that would impact the overall size. As a microdoser, the Cricket is perfect.

The Proxy "can" be pretty discreet but that means buying after-market glass. Coopersglass on IG makes puffers and pendants if someone want to go that route.
I like the after-market glass for the Proxy as well. It definitely adds a level of customization.

The Proxy is kind of the next step up from the Cricket if you want a larger bowl (at the expense of size) but you lose build quality, accurate temperature control, temperature customization, on-board screen, and USA made.
From the Proxy to the Aeris you gain a lot back, plus more, and it's the most affordable.

I enjoy using all my portable devices but if I had to pick one it would be the Aeris.
If stealth or American made was my top priority, it would be the Cricket.
That leaves the Proxy in an odd spot and I think Puffco is going to feel the heat if Focus V can keep the supply up.
