thanks dude. i use the classic (all analog) volcano with the standard filling chamber with the little brillo-like pad to occupy some of the chamber space. this little fillng chamber reducer looks good. do you use the standard size balloons or do they make smaller ones for smaller occassions? thx ; )
depending on your strain, a dosing capsule worth should make 2 good normal size balloons or 1 nice XL balloon.

You don't always have to fill it packed. Depending where you are and how much access you have, you can use low grade mids with 75% of a capsule full to make 1 good balloon that will make you stoned.

use high grade stuff packed in there and you can get some super milky bags, probably 3 easily. just some simple variables for ya.

the guy above with using a concentration pad and such can work but a chamber reducer for $25 is very worth the investment if you are vaping few times a week.

They sent me an email to say the Peace edition Volcano that got signed by people like Troy and Jerry, the Vape dot guide, Sneaky Pete and Vaporizer Wizard is now up for auction for charity! Ebay auction here

Anyone try these balloons yet?

Interesting shape. They look easy to fit being narrow at the end..
And I just bought a nice bit of normal balloon material in the sale!
I used small turkey bags once and I did notice they were quiet but I didn't like the square shape much.
Nice to have a new bag choice/idea to try sometime, thanks for posting.

Volcano green button finally popped after 10 years or so.

I'm in the UK and struggling to find a replacement switch, the only one I can find is on volcano tips but the voltage is all wrong. Anyone in the UK found a solution?

I've experimented with an oxygen mask and the Volcano. Instead of the usual size bag I make a small 5-6" length bag and on the end where you tie it off you could insert the end of a whip tube and tie it off on the tube or a length of boro inserted into the end. I just hook up an oxygen mask tube instead.

The only problem is the stability of the solid valve and this small bag - the tube weighs it down and it's not very stable, you end up having to hold the valve down on the Volcano. Some sort of support would do the trick, maybe a kind of flange adapter that holds the solid valve in place so it can't tip over?

I can't believe no-one has come out with some boro Volcano attachments yet. Something to replace the solid valve, or attach to it making use of the blue o-ring (this is how the Valloon valve sits on the solid valve) and then to a ground glass joint from there for whip tubes etc. Should be pretty easy to get someone to make a custom piece like that, just make sure it has a decent weight and low centre of gravity to keep the solid valve in place even with the whip tube moving about...
Actually about 10 years ago there was a place that was making glass attachment accessories for the Volcano. But that didn't last too long, I think they made those for a couple of years. I have one it's a glass whip accessory. But the fit isn't very good it's a little wobbly sitting on top of the Volcano. Which is probably why they quit making them. Although after searching I did find this link that might be helpful. https://www.vaporwarehouse.com/volcano-replacement-glass-valve-system.html

Thanks. Unfortunately no longer available. It's incredibly annoying, such a cheap part stopping it working.
i'm sure dhgate or aliexpress should have a replacement but might take a few weeks.

also, somewhere that part is probably used in a lot of other devices, maybe you can find it in your country in a special shop? is there a basic name of the item? check ebay too possibly? replacement part from vape shops / volcano site itself

Hi guys, wanted to pop in to state do not leave your bowl on your unit between bags. I prefer solid valve and have done it with both bowls, but have found the easy valve plastic to become brittle (the tabs that secure the bowl on the unit). Despite having used the solid valve much more I have not found the same degradation (use an oven mitt to remove the hot plunger for a stir). I know S&B states to not do this, but I wanted a work around to add conduction. Be prepared to buy a new bowl over time (IME). Happy vaping FC

Another reason I feel the solid valve is superior and the easy valve was one of their earliest cost cutting measures. They started including it with the volcano instead of the solid valve that originally came with.

Yes it's an SR - 06NR. But I'm struggling to find the exact shape, with 3 pins and with same voltage.

6.5A 250VAC 13A 125VAC

I would say that just about ANY electronics supply shop should be able to supply this very common switch..
Well, if you'd kindly link me I'd very much appreciate it as I'm really struggling to replace this common switch. More than happy to be humiliated.

The part I removed:
SR - 06NR
6.5A 250VAC 13A 125VAC T125/55 T85

I can find similar, but either the shape of the switch changes or voltage a little different.

You should make post on volcano forums and reddit too. I'm shocked there isn't a replacement guide with links.

It's way easier, just don't wait for people here. I bet volcano if you contact S&B could possibly tell you where to find them in EU? thats where you're at?

I’m have tried them.
They cost me about 8.00 each delivered.
Delivered really fast.
Simple nice packaging.
Nice product.
Easy to mount to the valve.
No taste. No smell.
I use S & B bag material.
My most Recient batch seems thinner and certainly does not last as long as the last pre made balloon I bought.

These are a fantastic drop in replacement.
I have the small which is just right for me.

Other than the very high price there are no negatives to these balloons.
They are expensive..
this may be balanced by an extended lifetime.

I think vapor will still condense on the interior so I’m going to guess it will live about as long as a “regular” balloon. Time will tell.

If you make your own bags…. You should try these.

I bought a Volcano classic from the classified ads here.

I am an experienced vaporist. What temps should I use? Do I raise the temp after each bag with the same cannabis?

@SirGanjaVapeAlot recommended a Magma bubbler. Does anyone have opinions on the Magma?

Is anyone looking to unload a Magma bubbler?

i start at 6 for the first 2 bags then I finish it off at 7 for the last 2.

Check out my avatar for temps.

How many bags do you get if using a dosing capsule? How stale does the cannabis get if you only use 1 bag at a time?
Never used dosing capsules but I can’t imagine getting more than 2 satisfying bags.

I usually throw a quarter gram in my solid valve and get 4 bags.

The cannabis won’t get stale in between bags. Once you remove from the heat it should cool down quickly. You could set it down and come back a week later and I don’t think it will have changed much. You’ve extracted most of the moisture out in the first bag.

Of all the vapes I’ve bought, my Mighty and Volcano Digit have emerged as my go-to’s.

I had a Magma a few years back, but I wasn’t using the Volcano consistently enough. Now that I am using my Volcano daily, I’m considering getting an Obsidian. The dryness of the vapor has been tough on me

Since the Obsidian is pretty expensive, I have two questions:

1. Is it worth it? Owners, are you loving your Obsidian?

2. Are there typically sales for 4/20 on the Obsidian?

I can't speak to the first point but they always seem to have 420 and Black Friday sales with 20% off.

I ended up ordering the Obsidian. I needed to use my discover credit card to keep my account open (oldest account :)) so I figured this made sense. Or at least that was my roundabout way of justifying it
