I been keeping an eye on these ever since I heard that YLL Vape were producing a HALOGEN vape called "The Angus"
Thankfully, mine got here pretty quickly and I been enjoying the heck out of it.
This is my first time trying a Halogen vape and I'm absolutely loving the utterly pure taste...Even when the herb is spent towards the end of a session there isn't the bad burnt popcorn taste.
When using it natively, the glass MP is nice and foldable. Although, I find there to be some draw restriction, but not an uncomfortable ammount.
When using it through the WPA this thing chugs tasty clouds that impressed me.
The Angus is really good for the price, PROS of the Angus that made me order include:
- It charges with USB-C
- has two (easily) removable 18650 batteries
- comes with capsules.
- sleek carrying case & accessories
- very easy to operate, with no app or BS.
- The "lid" is magnetic and comes off easily and yet is really strong and won't accidentally come off
I haven't weighed out how much herb I can fit in the capsules or how much I could fit in the chamber straight.
and, so far, my herb has been very evenly cooked.
It checks a lot of the boxes that interest me. So I'm looking forward to further testing!

I have been able to order one directly as well through insta. I had been a bit in contact with them during development and after they couldn't let me in on the beta they now offered to sell me one directly. They do have a storefront type website but I don't know if they're gonna run with that though because they mentioned the shipping costs are too high. I think it'll drop in stores any day as well as I believe I saw recvapes posted a box of them on IG (not 100%sure if it wasn't just one though)

Yeah I wouldn't fault them for that, just find it funny that you two were able to order in advance messaging them on IG, while I messaged them on IG and seems they never looked at the message and they also never replied to my message here either lol se la vi

I'm on a road trip. Brought it along.
Filled the bowl to 0.5 with hash bits and flower.
Max temp is still okay but I tend to enjoy the 2nd max temp which is 210 then finishing it off with max
And do you find it's extracting evenly and fully?

The size is a big minus for me. More home portable than pocket portable. I already have enough home portables.
I think to make this something I want to buy the flavour from this device would need to be A+, similar to a lamart tetra. Being halogen the Angus has every chance of hitting that range.

It's kind of big, yeah. I'm hoping it'll be an easy to use device though and comfortable to pass around, because thats not something I currently have in my collection and if it can also deliver on flavor I think could be appealing to the popularity of session devices. Mine is taking a while unfortunately, will hopefully land Monday!
I will be very interested to see your thoughts. I think we both have Anvil and TM2. So I feel we may have similar tastes.

Yeah both TM2 and Anvil are two of my favorite all time vapes and my current daily drivers (well tbf since Herborizer came in yesterday the duo has been on a break lol). Will let you know my findings with the Angus.
There is in the cooling unit. However a stainless wpa is available, eliminating any of that.Any silicon in the air and/or vapor path?
