I have a functional iPhone 4, it’s yours for $200.
I have watched John take a lot of flak on this thread and I’m on his side. Maybe he is a much better designer than he is a business man? I would much rather have a well designed product and a few customer service issues (I have had none myself) then have excellent customer service with free shipping and a shitty product. I am also very impressed with how John is trying to keep everything backwards compatible.
I love my Anvil (it is all I have used since it’s arrival in early May), and I grabbed the WPA kit as soon as it was available. I eagerly await the future additions. And as a very picky machinist and craftsman, my Anvil build is excellent

Since i got my anvil (2nd one in South Africa) i have not touched my dynavap collection.
I lie.
Took a dynavap camping, but that's it.
They are like the horse when the car came along.
Making anvils compatable with dynavaps is a waste of time.
If you really want to fiddle, then make anvils even better than they already are.

I forgot mine existed.
Actually not completely true. I use a dynavap cap as a scoop to load my Anvil chambers.
No hate for Dynas. I loved them for years. I was an early adopter. But they became far too annoying for me as my dosage levels changed. Sick of multiple heat cycles just to vape a tiny amount of herb, including a warm up click that produced no vapour.
I would still suggest buying a Dyna for new vapers with low tolerance.

Anyone having issues with the XL bowl not clicking?
At first, my girlfriend combusted and claimed she didn’t hear a click…. I didn’t believe her. So I thoroughly cleaned the unit and the glass piece.
Then I proceeded to heat it up…. No click, and combustion again. Cleaning process again… annoying. One last try, same experience, no click at all.
Any suggestions?

But for curiosity’s sake, maybe take it off the unit, and torch it until you do hear a click? Just to see if there is one.

I’d also recommend a 24hr ISO soak. Back in my DV days this would often do the trick to revive a non clicker. If that doesn’t work I’d check if they can move freely and aren’t stuck at an angle.
Past that it’s like you say, contact vestratto

Dynaverse is so rich with skilled artisans, there is all kinds of awesome shit. Glass is already there, look at this beautiful example:
Of course wpa + glass is very satisfactory.
But still DV set kind of a standard. For example PhatPiggie's Thermal Accumulator will be DV compatible, would be cool if the stem could be used with Anvil as well. To me such adapter is about as nice as the wpa.

seems like any new player gets a lot of flack if they shake up the game a bit.
like i said before I’m loving all the new innovation and new manufactures popping up. Dynavaps was getting stale for me after buying almost every diffferent version lol. Will most likely get one of PPs new creation when It comes out.
to be honest I think dyna has turned me off the most of any vape company when they started becoming more of a “lifestyle brand”.
the only other time I was turned off was from S&B buyout from Canopy.
anywyas it’s all good however you choose to extract your vapor
I want to hear how folks are liking the new WPA kit, I’m going to have to jump on that soon…

100%, but it's not like the DV community was down the Anvil's throat from the jump. That happened after he went scorched earth on Simrell calling his FMJ basically a dookie knockoff. But that's in the past
Anvil(or Bricks ig) is the pinnacle of the one-hit and quit butane vape world. I still use my DV strictly because of my IH and nice stems. Once John gets an IH running and maybe an adaptor so I can use for example, a MH Revolve with the anvil.... my VC collection will be dead.

The thing I want to know is when he will have stock for resellers. That was promised many months ago.
What is your heating method? The XL chamber has to be heated a bit more slowly with less power i find. I like to make my inner blue flame about the size of the 2 copper rings on the oven, should be a 45-50 sec click. The fastest i would recommend heating the XL is 40 sec.
On 2nd thought can you try heating it without any herb in the chamber and see if it click at all.

I’m probably gonna get a big old slap from the mods for saying this
Most of the hate originated on Reddit and actually had nothing to do with DV vs Anvil at first. A certain moderator on vaporents with a conflict of interest and history of suspect behaviour was desperate to get rid of @Whiff and those milking vids we all remember. Once they did that (using rules that they themselves should have fallen under) they then began posting photos of old Anvils with voids in the copper and framing it as Vestratto having current QC issues. They then admitted to knowing it was an old photo of a very early anvil when challenged. Glowing reviews of the mod’s product started popping up. The timing was so perfect it was no coincidence
It’s all still on there if you want to search it out, I’m not naming names as that is definitely a bridge too far. It’s also mentioned in this thread around Feb-March time. For those who know the person I’m talking about please don’t comment their name - it’s unfair on the mods who’ve had a lot of hassle with this thread
The DV vs Anvil stuff I really don’t see much of tbh, outside of “FMJ-gate” it’s always been pretty chill - a lot of people use both for differing uses quite happily

I designed and printed a funnel to make loading the bowls easier and cleaner.

Just tested a newly received XL oven and got two clicks. I don’t attempt to RTL with the XL, middle oven heating only for me.

My guess is that the mass would be calibrated for the load - so it would cool down click when the load is spent, much like the current anvil. I’ve heard it said that you’ll need a larger torch to RTL with it, so there’s definitely a fair bit of extra mass though
There’s people on here that understand this stuff way more than me, that will hopefully give a better answer
Yes I'm pretty sure it's going to hold heat for atleast twice as long, I'm hoping for a good 3 minutes. I'm super excited to see how it performs!

Yea that's great news. Gonna hold off on buying a wpa, hoping the large copper core oven will also become available in a kit with (in my case) 18mm wpa. Would be amazing with this custom j hook I have ordered
