AirVape Legacy Pro

For people having trouble cleaning the little paths from mouthpiece to oven, I had decent success w/ pipe cleaners, specifically the ones w/ the little plastic pieces which act as scrubber.

I used a very small amount of 70% iso but rung a lot out of the iso from the pipe cleaner before before putting in there. Not perfect but works pretty well and you might already have some pipe cleaners around. I also just went ahead and cut the pipe cleaners into smaller sections so I can get 3-4 sections out of 1.

Well Did you order it?
No not yet. Had it in my basket all ready to go but then had to run an errand for my wife. When I got back the VAS had settled again and I got more level headed about it. I don’t love the plastic in the vape path and wonder how useful it would be as an actual portable, being how messy a lot of people say it is (I live in a country where weed consumption is still illegal). I’m also not sure if its performance justifies a new vape, given that I already own a TinyMight and a bunch of other quality vapes. Lastly my mind was like “why not commit those 189€ towards a B2 instead?” 😂 …let’s see. If you have a recent take on it, I’d appreciate it.

Hope you dont mind me chiming in...Ive had my Pro a while now(one of the 1st). I Love it....but, I also Love my other vapes as well. Now that the Honeymoon phase is over, I find myself using my Airvape X As Much as I do the Pro, with periods of E-Nano thrown in between(also Dynavap, MV1 Ghost, Carts & Dab stuff) Again, it is a Great vape....but, it will be MUCH BETTER once the Dosing Capsules are ready.
I got mine for $99, as I already had the OG Legacy. Had it Not been for that Discount, I would Not have purchased it Yet, keyword YET, lol.
IMO, until the DC's are available(game changer), think I'd wait.
And this is coming from a Diehard Airvape fan !

Like many here, I am also eagerly anticipating the dosing capsules. Until the DC or funnel shows up I think I have a potential solution to the issue of loading the Legacy Pro.

Our good friend @RogueGuy came up with something he calls the Original Grinder Buddy. Using the OGB it is possible to load the Legacy Pro without making a mess.

Thank you very much for chiming in, your opinion is very helpful to me. I’m not lacking anything with my current arsenal of vapes, just the initial reactions to the Legacy Pro were so positive, VAS did the rest, making me dream up & project this never-before-seen performance :) I still like the form factor, design and flexibility of it. And if the dosing capsules work out nicely, I’ll prob still get one. At 189€ (with coupon) it’s quite affordable for a quality electric vape that does on-demand as well as people say it does here.

I have the TinyMight and use the capsules with it, but I feel it performs less potently with them (though more evenly). Looking forward to owners’ reports once the capsules drop (they look great for sure!)

My situation is similar to yours so the reason i purchased this is due to stealth, portability, all digital and ease of use.

Cleaning is not an issue if you purchase 16mm screens. Place the screen on top of the flower. Its a perfect fit and unlike 15mm, the 16mm stays in place.

To remove the abv, heat the chamber. It then comes out easier.

Yes the airpath is a bit of an issue with plastic and silicone.

There are a couple tight spots which can be cleaned with some dental/tooth floss brushes dipped in 70% or less iso.

But to be honest, i give mine a light clean as they show in the video and its still running fine.

I use a keychain stash which holds about 3.5 worth of AVLP bowls.

I rarely have issues with stirring. Sometimes its required. Tends to depend on the temp and the flower TBH. I usually get to where i need to go mentally and physically with it without stirring for the most part.

Sometimes i lose the screen so what ive noticed is that if i tamp the flower, it again creates less mess overall.

I carry all this (the avlp, the stash) in a hardened eyewear case (few dollars). Fits perfectly.

If you do purchase:

1. Buy 16mm screens separately.
2. Buy the bong from airvape, which comes with adaptor.
3. Ask Gary to send you the OG mouthpiece.

Hope that helps!

I received the new mouthpiece!
Thank you @Gary-Airvape !
The new MP is much firmer. It seems to be thanks to the silicone part. Airvape could have sent me only the silicone part but has added the ceramic part and the mesh. Nice! :D:rockon:

Edit:

The new is the one on the left
Nice, mine came (a month ago) with the mouth piece like on the left and it fits fine.

Hi,

I got a lot of inquiries about shipping delays. Yes, we know about it. Our fulfillment center is moving to a new location to have a better and faster service in the future. Please be patient, this is out of my control. I can not influence this or make it smoother.

We continue doing our part and provide excellent customer support and help.

Thanks:)

So I did a cleaning with iso.. I turned on the ALP to burn off any residue from the oven after the cleaning and after a 5 min session it still puts off vapor from the oven. So do I try a few more times? I'm not burning up the oven not hitting it for a 5min 400f session Without any suction? I had the door open while doing the session.

I am curious. What are you all doing with your Legacy vapes?

Do you use both Legacy and Legacy Pro?

Are you donating your Legacy units to @Vitolo?

My Legacy combusted the first time I used it so I never really used it. Should I send it in for warranty repair?

I'm going to use my new Legacy primarily for concentrates (replacing a Firefly 2+) and continue to use my Legacy Pro for flower. I tried concentrates in the Pro and it's equal to if not superior to the Firefly (which ain't no slouch in the flavor department).

What are the heating coils in the Airvape Legacy Pro made out of? I am interested in an Airvape Legacy Pro however can't find any info on what heating coils are made of. Does anyone know what the coils are made of? I am assuming the overall vapor path runs through the coils so materials of the hottest part of vapor path is important to me. Thanks in advance I really have googled the heck out of this and can't find the answer to this.

Lost my mouth piece. After reading reviews and actually using my new Legacy Pro, I realized that I need a backup mouth piece. It’s an accident waiting to happen. But guess what, I didn’t order it until I lost it. Don‘t mind spending the $25 so much if it was an improved version. Just glad I can still use without the mouth piece. A little frustrating, but this thing works much better than the Firefly 2+ that it replaced.

Contact Gary-Airvape with proof of purchase info and he'll get you a replacement so you'll have an extra 🙃

I dont know how but the LP give good results at 150°C on session Mode (I think It is a good setting if you want to do a 10 minutes session, ending at 180/190)
Did anyone try superlow temps?
I feel the gold chamber retains a lot of heat making the temperature higher

From what I’ve read in this thread, it seems on session mode, it utilizes hybrid heating, which uses both conduction and convection to heat the bowl. Many have reported that the temps using this mode seem higher than the the unit is set due to the additional heat from conduction.
