TinyMight / TM 2

Anyway I had once dropped my TM from the couch on to hardwood floor, at an angle, probably less than a foot, but since there was a battery installed it caused the connection to compress a bit, so now in that original TM I have to screw the battery lid all the way down flush to make the connection...
I don't think I ever told you guys how I broke the base on my Large Inline. On a very high night I was using my TM on the Inline and it slipped out of my fingers and crashed into the base breaking nearly half the base into several pieces. I had one of my RBT wpas on it that survived intact, but the weight of the TM with a battery was enough to shatter the base. I was kinda amazed that both the TM and the wpa suffered no ill effects. Just damn lucky I guess. And it did not damage the battery terminal but it landed top down so likely wouldn't.

I see the appeal of nice woods and metals, but I love the simplicity of the meterials used. No frills, just works beautifully. I like how the TM has become more refined since the first gen which was somewhat crude. It's like a nice tool. I think gold plating it would be like gold plating an AK. Decorative vs practical?

I say this now but if they ever came in fancy metals and woods I'd probably be pining for one.

I also think the TM is about perfect in every way, and I haven't had an opportunity to upgrade to the latest version but will be in the very near future, mostly because I would be lost without my TM, even for a week or two. New board and a SN will make resale that much easier when ville has another update.

Who knows, maybe I'll be really fortunate and receive an email from DM about a Nomad2

Until that day, I have been thrilled with my TM, but I am already looking into others, aren't we all?

good news!
so how this stem compares to the long glass stem with dual CU? I mean apart from unbreakable and better looking, do the SS balls (inside CU) cooling better than the glass with bolts and nuts?

I really love the look of the ti stem. Especially with my old TM because the bottom and top plates are almost as shiny as the stem so it looks like the same material. I also really like that you don't the stem becoming dirty from the outside.
I tried the 1/2 CU with 6 5mm SS balls and find it to arch/hot. It kind of reminded me of using a hopper IO native (arch feeling in the throat after your hit). It's totally usable but not as confortable to me as the entire CU. Still a very nice solution if you only have 1 CU and want to make it 2 in order to use one while the other takes an ISO bath.
I think I even prefere my regular CU set up that the 2 half CU filled with 5mm SS balls.
My CU set up is a bit different than the original : i stack 2 bolts in the bottom part of the CU and get rid of the washers in the upper part.
My best set up for now is the 2 hollow part of the CU facing each other with about ten 6mm glass beads in between them.
The little "taper" on both ends of the ti MP is very nice. It's more confortable on the lips and it really sits flush on the heater screen with the wide face of the ring facing up (the glass MP is a tiny bit larger than this ring and can wiggle a bit event inserted to the bottom).

Think I might finally be an official FC member, with a bad case of VAS

Recently ordered a second TM, with new board & SN, as a backup because I'd hate to be without, even for the short time it would take to replace. Got my OG TM after trying, and failing, numerous times last year, to land either a FW7 or Lamart P80. Also saw the Nomad2 and had to get on "the list."

I don't have much confidence about aquiring either of in the near future but will continue trying. And of course, can't rush perfection, so I will look forward to the day an email arrives from "Dan at Morwood" no pressure Dan, waiting makes the pleasure & appreciation last that much longer.

why didn't I learn about "the list" earlier :bang:

Thanks again to all the great FC members!

what next, a log, Tafee Bowle, Collyland....:worms:

I ordered my second TM when the Govt started threatening us with the PACT act and I worried that I might not be able to get another if I needed/wanted it. So I had to order it before the updated version came out.
I am NOT getting a third one. I am NOT. Really, I'm not kidding. Damnit.

I gave away my tinymight, I got it second hand and it was temperamental the whole time I had it, despite sending it in for repair. I know they perform well though, when the one I had was working it was really working lol, if I don't land a p80 in the next drop I'm going straight to the tinymight website 😅

There’s a lot of good advice in the p80 thread for getting in on the drop. Check it out.

Looking for a 14mm stem for the TM. I have several 18mm from the RBT days, but can't seem to find 14mm. Thanks for any advice. I forgot about Ed's, any others out there?

I have seen stores with "Cannabis" in the name that sell "weed" around The Free State. And by weed they mean hemp flower sprayed with Delta 8 distillate. I've sort of tried this by vaping a bowl of hemp flower, then dabbing a little Delta 8. To lower tolerance newbies, I bet it would sort of feel like a traditional cannabis high. I don't think it would fool many regular consumers though.

If you're smart, Floriduh shouldn't be a problem. But keep in mind the cops here are psychos. Though I bet they're a bit chiller in Key West.

@ploooopp I don't see why that wouldn't work. If the CU is full of scooby snacks though, you may need to strain it a bit. Give it a whirl and let us know!

I might consider iso cleaning the cooling unit at least once to be sure any machine oils have been removed from the nuts and bolts but it seems worth trying.
Good luck, looking forward to your results.
I soaked the CU unit and glass in ISO before I fired it up for the first time! Good shout tho!
I've done this, although I've used 10% cream (from what I've read, the higher fat content is better because that is what it binds to, idk).
It works okay that way, but you'll have better luck if you take the cu out of the stem, and at least loosen it up - the nuts and bolts get pretty gummy and stuck together. Stir it around to agitate too.

So I finally got to trying this, I used some milk I got from a farmer so the fatcontent was about 4.5-6%, I added some arabic coffee powder to make a drink my mum would make for me when I was in HS and so I simmered that with the glass and CU (seperated) in the pot, let it sit at about 60-80 degrees C for about 40 minutes, all of the oil/resin buildup had been infused into the drink and I definetly felt buzzed for about 4-5 hours, it was pretty mild though.

So it definetly works but I'm not sure if I'd recommend it, you'd have to clean it again afterwards, I rinsed it in a sieve with near boiling water and then did a salt bath/shake (could have rinsed with cold water and stopped here) and then some more warm water and cotton swabs just to make sure it was properly clean.

TLDR: Putting the stem in milk and simmering it to extract some goodness is worth a try once, but it's a hassle to clean.

I did something similar. Got rid of all the inards... Don't use washers.

Just filled each half with SS 1/8 in balls and hold them together with the one screw.

I do find the longer glass stem offers better cooling. I am waiting for some more SS balls to try with a second cooling unit but I suspect it will not prove necessary... Just use as a second stem while cleaning the other.

Dont you find the 1/8 to small? Im thinking if doesn't get almost in the holes and prevent air circulation, how many SS balls are you using in your setup?
Cheers

Here's some tips for TM stem milk.

1. Use only the stem. CU has too many small parts to deal with for the second wash.

2. Wait until your stem gets like this......

3. Make sure you don't have any plans for the next 10 hours. :smug:
