If that fugly thing is the future of vaporiization , i wanna stay in the past. Also whats with the comericial slogans in thread names, this is not needed.

Zirconia is great material ,but with its conductivity is not the most desirable material for mouthpiece or cooler.It will probably get hot quickly and start to be counter productive,like in the FOG/Starry

When I see the CFX+ I feel 5 years younger.

I think we have moved on a bit.

How was the CFX battery life compared to the CFV / SwiftPro? I see the CFX+ is reportedly a "smaller design" so what does that mean for the battery size?

The CFV / SwiftPro worked rather well back then but its dual 18350 cells in series were its Achille's heel clearly. I dusted off mine the other day while doing my annual battery topping checks (and of course the thing was completely drained and refused to turn on, but at least it accepted a charge) But it was hard to get more than two short sessions / bowls with it due to the super small capacity and it only got worse over time.

I just got a free sample...mostly conduction I am afraid, mine starts making good vapor...after about 4 minutes into a sesh.

It is very anti-social and airy, not a good seal...I did not know I was a slobberer until I tried this vape, it seems to cool well though (all the slobber:lol:).
Pretty disappointed overall, I was hoping for a CF/X2.0 that would have bells and whistles like adjustable convection/conduction with the use of 2x heaters, quick-swap batteries like a Tera etc...I will just say I am glad I never paid for it...it is a sub $100 device :2c:
I hope the production units are way better as this is pretty average.

As long as they don’t use tut mouthpiece that they used on the original CFX and Tera. Both mouthpieces required mods to make the devices useable. The CFX is still a solid consistent performing portable with incredible battery life. Boundless definitely got the heater correct on the OG CFX, I imagine this is going to be a good vape.

This is super sad to hear. I was rooting for Boundless, hoping they take this criticism seriously. I was hoping we'd get something part Tera / part CFX and with a nice cooling chamber like the mighty

I have been experimenting with load styles and draw techniques, I can manage to get better vapor after about 1.5 minutes after the temp is reached (200C for me as any higher I get that conduction burnt popcorn taste during a sesh) but the tiny exit hole of the mouthpiece will always cause too much restriction for my liking. The unit seems to be like most other conduction-biased vapes...OK at taste but slow to extract.
I am also having trouble with the UI, the buttons do not seem to respond quite regularly, impossible to use the PreSet feature, I do hope this unit is pre-production as it needs refinement.
I have passed these concerns on to Eric at Boundless and will report findings.

Eric only told me that Boundless are quite proud of their cooling unit :mental: ...I would not recommend this device for the price they are asking...US$199 is a joke, I am afraid it feels and performs way cheaper than their US$75(current sale price is only $68 with a code) Tera :2c:

The CFX+ was quite neutral out of the box. I did notice the stink in the last Tera I got but it got better with age and is fine now...leave the unit and the silicon parts on a sunny window sill (indoors) and check every few days to see if it gets better.

All that didn't work for me, but although imo it's a big deal, I appreciate its been better received on the whole despite this known issue with another device. Maybe its a mistake they won't repeat. & I'm in the wrong thread for it anyway. 🙏

I have been notified that the units have landed at our warehouse and should be ready to ship by the middle of next week. Boundless is sending me a CFX+ to replace my Tera, which failed ( again.. ) I have a pre-production CFX+ which I like well enough. I'm still not crazy about the sippy cup mouth piece but it works, and the design does cool well.

A tip for anyone who has one, If, and I'll let you know soon, the oven is the same size as my re-prodcution unit, the Agro WPA fits perfectly! I'm going to test is as soon as I get my new CFX+.

I am still looking for the spiral in the spiral cooled vapor tag (one corner turned in the vapor path does not = spiral in my book), the mouthpiece is less than great, especially the way it lets you know it needs cleaning...reclaim lipstick sucks...actually sticks!
I hope the production run has improvements for you @pop22.
