A suggestion to make the case more sleek: remove the www.vestratto.com url (looks redundant and is too close to the logo) and center the logo (if you still want to show the url on the case, you can print it on the other side)

First impressions... I'm Blazed.
After the iso wash, I tried the half chamber. It got me way past where I thought I'd be with old crunchy mmj. Two full-sized chambers later, old school high. Sensi and ez wider days, same not so fresh bud. Fogged up the ufo pipe like combustion but no, just a big terpy tasty cloud. I rode the line my first three sessions and I used the ufo weirdo style, dry. Not really hot or harsh. Avb was evenly roasted and so am I.
There are some small tooling marks on the copper battery but, after torching the battery and riding the line I can't see the beauty marks. Besides, I lost my membership to the polo grounds a long time ago. I'm out, got more science to science.

Removable mouthpiece would be nice. Would love to have a wood mouthpiece on this!!
Seeing all the things that were done for the dynavap it’s going to be a fun ride watching and controlling VAS for things made for the anvil. can’t wait to get a stem for this Beast!!

Next generation heat shields - the ones you are getting on your upgrades have already been made with chamfered holes. As I transition parts to the more industrial machines from my "garage" I can leverage the 4th, and even up to 6th axis. I'll take some vids of the new parts and try to learn how to post them here. My daughter will be home on the weekend so my IT skills will get a welcome boost. We are also going to make a batch of brass heat shields, polish them to mirror, and then plate them gold, silver etc.. This will give us a pretty wide palette of colours and metals in the future. Remember when I said the launch was "any colour as long as its black" (Henry Ford). We obviously want to give you a lot more choice.
I'm seriously pondering making little plaques for these Founder's Anvils so you can mount them on your walls like limited edition prints. Then - whenever your VAS tempts you into buying into another Launch - you can stare at that little Beast to really make sure

I can’t wait to see what the after market stem makers come up with. I’d like to a better mouth piece too. The beta version appear to have a more pronounced mouth piece. The current one reminds me of a air hose male connector. Lol

Yup, you're right. I can see the mouthpiece being 10mm (to drop it in the many accessories) and a heat shield having a range from 14-18mm. The heat shield does its job tho, you can feel the heat radiating from the battery. It's not uncomfortable at all but, once you fidget with it, you'll understand why the wholes are there.

There will probably be different opinions on this. I think the Omni style works on that device because it's so light that you can hold it in your lips hands-free for a long time. The Anvil is just too heavy to hold in the lips comfortably, even if it had the Omni style mouthpiece. IMO the current shape of the Anvil mouthpiece is more streamlined and works better with tubing, which I'm sure some people will want to use.
Plus, the Omni style mouthpiece just screams Dynavap. Kind of like putting the distinctive Gibson guitar headstock on a Fender guitar... it would venture into brand confusion territory, I think.

I'm very impressed. I echo what has been said here, but I will try to add something new.
The main thing I am impressed with is the signature of the high. I expected it to be like the dynavap or even like the Flowerpot. I'm finding the high is actually like the volcano hybrid using the bags. It's a remarkably strong cerebral high. I recall John stating how the device holds off cooking the flower until it clicks and you draw on the device, and how it's mostly convection. There was some skepticism about this, but I'm of the opinion there is something to it. The efficiency is remarkable if I compare to my other devices (hybrid, FP, dynavap). This is the device that will let users squeeze everything out of their flower.
The potential for this device is staggering. I can see it capturing a large portion of the dynamarket, but then even expanding into the heavy hitter home market. It's a wonderful sidekick to the flowerpot, simply because the high signature is so different. The possibility of different tips/caps that skew the dynamics could offer users a selection of various signatures. Thanks John.

Lord knows there are a lot of "opinions" about what makes a great vape.
You are holding my "opinion" in your hands. Anvil is my opinion.
I believe sincerely in the concept of getting the flower up to an intermediate temperature while the oven gets a lot hotter to power the convection air stream. You are learning how easy it is to really control that "SNAP" point with the CopperCore technology. It still baffles me how much better material science is for certain tasks than electronics and software. For those of you who checked out my XLTEK background you know I'm decent at both. Machining needs improvement - ok I get it!.
The balancing points for Anvil are:
on the low temperature side flavour/medication balance is achieving maximum decarboxylation with minimum terpene loss
and
on the full extraction side, what we've nicknamed riding the line, finding the last moment of vapour before the onset of combustion.
Anvil lets you move back and forth between those two end points easily and reliably.
I'm pretty pleased with what I will call the "real responses" to Anvil that I'm getting from thoughtful folks like yourself. I will absolutely improve the aesthetics and ergonomics as time goes by. But I've steadfastly maintained that the three most important attributes of a great vaporizer are 1) the vapour 2) the vapour 3) and the vapour. Just my opinion. Thank you - I'm going to the shop this morning with your thoughts in mind.
Thanks for your presence on this forum. It's very interesting hearing your philosophies and background. You are proficient at explaining complex mechanical processes in a way that is accessible.
The vape market is growing all the time, and it's very feasible to become a multi million dollar company, yet it's a market that is an enthusiasts market. We sort of sell each other on new vapes. So having a connection with the designer goes a long way, even if it's just in the early days.
Now that I feel the dynavap has been blown out the water with the Anvil, it makes me wonder why it didn't happen sooner. The Dynavap has so many flaws. I believe we all got so hung up on the ingenuity of the dynavap, that we didn't cast a curious eye over it and see that so much can be improved. Bravo on having the vision.
Getting a product of the ground is always a headahce and stressful I imagine. I just want to say you really have something here. This could be big. So keep at it. I will be providing a more thorough write up in a round a week, with regards to any ideas or improvements I could suggest.

Thank you for the kind words. I've mentioned before but its worth repeating that I'm an advocate of "full, clear, plain and true" disclosure. I don't have a lot of time for tribalism, jingo or haters for that matter. I became passionate about vaping because someone I loved was suffering and I was trying to help. The benefits became apparent early on. Anvil is an effective vehicle to share what I've learned so far. The reason many companies stagnate is because they get consumed with cutting costs, meeting payroll, and other Board Room drivers. As a young entrepreneur I took a lot of inspiration from Steve Jobs and Apple. Methodical, relentless, continuous improvement. I coined a term at XLTEK - violent incrementalism. I embrace that philosophy even more wholeheartedly with Anvil. In a nutshell it means that every single day I have to drive Anvil forward -even if its just one step on the 1,000 mile journey. During the early days of any product development, Anvil as a perfect example "the visionary" has to drive 99.9% of the decisions. But once that baby bird is pushed out of the nest a huge portion of creative control over the direction of the product has to be passed over to you. You are the experts now in what you want the Anvil to become. And I intend to facilitate that. And that will make Anvil successful.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I was so caught up in how well this was performing, that I hadn't stopped to consider the byproducts of said vapour production.
I've noticed that the unit really starts to give off that vape-funk pretty quickly. It's noticeable just sitting on my desk about a foot away. Nothing scientific of course, but the level of odour emanating from the Anvil after just a handful of uses reminded me of a VapCap that's gone through a few weeks of consistent use without any sort of sterilization.
It seems like there's a price to pay for that milky vapour production, one I'm glad to pay mind you, but I hadn't anticipated needing to clean the unit as frequently as it seems like it's going to be required to reduce smells. I guess not having the storage tube sort of exacerbates this too, but the unit will still smell at the end of the day, tube or not.

I've been using my for 3 days and I don't smell a thing. Just picked it up and gave it a good sniff and nothing at all!!!!!!!!
