Tafée Bowle

1. Press both the power select and fire buttons together quickly 5 times. The puck will only power on again after connected to charge cable.

2. When charging, if charge is too slow, remove the cable, wait about 10 seconds and reinsert the cable.. sometimes the battery trickle charges and needs to be disconnected and reconnected for the charging chip to recognize fast charging.

3. Finally, even when the battery indicates it's fully charged when plugged in to charge by indicating four solid blue lights or no lights indicating charging.... Unplug and reconnect the charger to make sure the battery is full indicated by "four flashing blue lights". If 4 blue doesn't flash when the charge cable is reinserted, then the battery is still only 80% charged and slowly trickle charging the remaining 20%. Unplug and reconnect to reset the charge until you confirm 4 flashing lights when the charge cable is removed and reconnected.

and then there is this as well:

This low battery lockout is apparently not the same as the reset. I’ve done the reset before. From Tafée’s support:
Thanks, this did not help.
Tafee wrote this to me as well and I tried it twice and it didn't work.
I was able to once charge fully, but I can hardly pass the 2 dots...

EDIT: Tafee suggested testing a different charger and it seems to work better, I think my Tafee charger has gone bad.

The cup is covering the USB port so no water can drip into it from the cup. It is placed there for that safety feature.
Condensation under the cup is what i am worried about. if you have ice in the cup condensation will develop on the bottom at least it did with my my unit.

Hi guys I am on holiday with only Tafee with me. I tried to clean puck unit screen and from there I accidentally and stupidly cut the small wire exactly above the screen. This maybe was the sensor and now no matter how i draw the lights turn light blue after 3 seconds with no vapor production.

Is there any chance to make it work by myself? And does it need to be returned to Canada for repairs?
Ok so I contacted Tafee about my problem, explaining them the damage and advising them that I will undertake all expenses, as I understand that although the device is registered the damaged wire cannot be covered under warranty. They asked for picture of the damage and my full style address (in Athens GR). After providing them, they came up with the best offer, better that I even imagined. I will quote the offer below, with their permission. Needless to say that apart from being fun of their product, it has been one of the best customer services I have ever experienced.

We have calculated the shipping costs that it would take for you to send your malfunctioning unit back to us, which would be $45.00 USD.
On top of this there would be the repair costs for the unit itself, which would be determined after receipt of the damaged unit.
There would also be the return shipping cost of $45.00 USD to get the unit back to you once repaired.

Because of this endeavor being costly and taking a certain amount of time, we would like to provide you with an alternative option:

We are willing to gratuitously courier you a new complete replacement package of Bowle, including extra accessories on top of what is normally included in a set, for the discounted price of $139.00 USD.

Please do let us know if this option suffices for you, and we will send you an invoice once we receive confirmation.
As always, we are incredibly grateful for your support and patronage. We hope to hear from you soon.

After asking for permission to post my experience with customer support

Thank you for your kindness in asking permission to post about your experience.
Typically we rely on our EU retailers to service our international customers. In this case, we made an exception and decided that the best option was to provide you with a new unit, rather than go through a drawn out potential repair process.

We appreciate that you are eager to discuss your customer support experience online; we would appreciate if you make note that yours was a case where in which we happily did our best to eliminate the factors of higher cost and longer wait time.

We will continue to do so whenever we can in our commitment to deliver the best possible resolution after evaluating options on a case by case basis.\

I'm not seeing individual components on the Tafee site, am I missing something?
If I were to purchase a short stem version, would I later be able to buy just a long stem? Just a large cup?
I'm being extra cautious on this one; haven't spent this kind of $$ on a vape since the original Mighty pricing!

Yes the stem length is literally just the length. They all fit the same, also goes for the short vs big cup. Here's the accessories page with stems.

Yes I'd buy easily if it wasn't insanely high priced. I can get something similar for at least 3x less cost... obviously not the same, but when similar options are so much cheaper.. it's hard to justify. I really like the look of the Bowle but any reason to pay 3x the cost of this? https://dryherbvaporizers.com.au/product/vivant-alternate-ships-free/ I know different things but trying to figure out why the Bowle is so expensive. Not knocking the Bowle, just keen to figure out what makes it worth the price?

The TB is SUPER easy to use, SUPER fast heat up, GREAT flavor,…what else?

Of course, I wish it cost less but I don’t think you’ll regret spending on this one. I really think it’s worth it.

i have to agree. But I have to wait to see if one of my 3 pucks will be at least 2 years old. It is my most used device and my first Puck broke after 4 months. but i got a new one from the shop in Germany.

But I would like to have a device that I like and that will last at least 2 years

What else? While all that and the cup integration are great, for me the biggest strength and selling point is GREAT COOLING.

Even at highest setting, I have no inclination to get a WPA and pair it with water. Can't think of a single other vape I'd say that about.

here is my bowle frankensteined jhook.
hits very nice. improvised with what the local shisha shop had to offer for food grade silicone.

i think i can ask tafee if they want me to mass produce or i could retail them as the first tafee bowle accessories maker. what do you think?

bowle+j-hook
edit: can be put into a bubbler too of course.

Very nice! I am still waiting for that bowle wpa exactly for some j hook action like this. In fact, my bowle is finding less and less use the last few weeks because of this.. I find the vapor increasingly hot for my liking, still tasty and not harsh but very hot. I have the middle stem length and normally live on lvl 1/2. I am perhaps more sensitive to the heat than the average user though, I use cooling stems or j hooks for most of my other vapes, rarely go through water.

Bad Dog

Yeah I pissed on the rug...... so what
Dusted off my Bowle for a little action, lately its been only seeing use a few days a week :( Not because its not a great vape but for me I much prefer it with a full pot and that's a bigger load then I usually want  But I've recently been playing around with my dosing? Today I'm taking a different approach and taking only small hits and not finishing the bowl. Going to spend all day nursing the same bowl of skunk haze and see what that's like?
