The Nomad From Morwood

I've had both heaters on order since I placed my original order, that was always my plan when I signed up nearly 2 years ago. My tastes change from time to time so the cost of a spare heater is well worth it for my piece of mind. To compare it to my Mi2 and Mi2 they're very different heaters and for periods of time I'll prefer one or the other. Really what's the cost of a different coil to totally change the device. That's how I justify it  .

Couldn't agree more! I use both depending on mood, grind and dryness.

The new heater was supposed to be different than the first two, I've been thinking about inquiring, and about one of those cases for the Nomad 1. I've also been toying with leather working and a sleeve with room for a doob tube would be first class!

I'm sorta regretting not jumping in for an N2 yet, I think they're like kids, they're each different and unique.....and more are just more fun!

You may want to think about getting both heaters. I have the low, which I really like, but have a high on its way to me. Call me fickle...

Absolutely 100% get both heaters. For another $40-50, you essentially get another vape by simply switching the heater out so IMO its a no brainer to get that extra heater. For those who are wondering about how difficult it is to switch the heaters out, it is a very simple process.

Does anyone else not get as good performance with the mistvape cooling stem?

It hits a lot more airy and its harder to tell whats going on.

Nomad vapor is cool and beautiful so I don’t feel I need the stem much. But on the biggest hits it would actually be nice to have, but I can’t use it well enough to get the biggest hits with this stem.

Still love my Nomad.

@namasteIII , It could be that without the heat feedback it can be more difficult to know when you've got the right draw speed?

Are you comparing it against the stock glass stem with or without briar herb chamber?

comparing to stock glass and your wood, both with chamber.

definitely, the less feedback is the harder to tell whats going on part.

Idk on the airyness, one though is maybe it doesn’t make a perfect seal and so im getting cool air in from the top diluting the vapor.

Just tested that, same seal level as a normal stem. I do get way more airflow with the MV stem compared to stock glass just drawing through it empty.

I guess maybe slow down my draw on this stem? and with the less feedback it makes it harder to perfectly adjust so maybe just more practice too.

FWIW, this mirrors my experience with the Mistvape cooling stem. I'm not sure exactly why but there is more airflow when using this stem so I do need to slow my draw speed down when using.

Yup definitely.

I might give up on it, I have a hard time with it because of the less feedback.

Will be posting photos tonight/this week of more finished Nomad IIs going out the door. Starting batch 2 as soon as this 1st batch is out. I'll be sending the bi-monthly photo album updates showing the making-of batch 2 then.

I think this next little batch of photos is going to re-ignite the fire, they're looking HOT.

I have the exact same thoughts and ordered both too.

I'm pretty sure I see my vape in the first batch of photos - African Darkwood body and splatted tamarind top and bottom highlights with lichen button. The cases are mouth watering gorgeous and I wish I had a different color for each day of the week but I'll settle for the one. I really look forward to receiving mine and the unveiling. It'll be epic!! I have some favorite GG#4 that I'd love to enjoy with it.

@madhockeydad , Taking photos of yours in a couple hours, will have them up tonight!

Shaping that A. Blackwood is like trying to carve stone....but it's so worth it..feels like such a solid chunk of wood. The spalted tamarind pairs amazingly with the blackwood as well.
I can't wait to feel it. It looks sooooo beautiful. Now I'm getting even more excited. The only issue I have with the pictures being posted is I'm losing my zen like calm waiting. I'll have to try more of that GG#4 and find the true zen state in the meantime.

Am I the only one that loves the colors on the new case? I love the dark grey, blue green, and then there is a beautiful light yellow green. Simply yum. Simple design. It's really tough seeing all the cool pictures and knowing it's still going to be a little bit. I have Nomad envy!!!

Stunning!!

Exact opposite of mine! I've spalted tamarind body and African blackwood bottom and top, lichen button.

So stoked to see the batch coming together!!

Beautiful work as always Dan!
Picking the look from the word was both easy and hard. I tend towards lighter and warmer wood colors but the African Blackwood really seemed to jump out and it turned out so amazing. I bet yours will be stunning. I happened to like the more subtle textures in the darker wood for the main body. Enjoy. I really enjoy seeing all the choices people made. It’s so amazing what two wood varieties produce in terms of visual impact. A lot of it is the craftsman that turns the wood blocks into art sculptures!!!!

Can't wait for all you batch 1 people to get shipped out so I can start getting my bi-weekly email for #043
I can’t wait for mine to ship. Dan’s updates thru the process are incredible. He provides a high level of detail and he is responsive and will talk thru things 1 on 1. He is really incredible. Enjoy the journey. I learned a lot and I’d definitely like to party with Dan sometime up in CA!!
