Dropped the resistance down to .240 it came originally at .245 and I was told he had dropped it down from .250. The hot spotting I was getting through water pipe is gone except the smallest dark brown spot right where the air intake is. I could drop it by another .002 and I bet that tiny little spot would be gone. I bumped my heat up to 420 and it feels more appropriate it to me now.

Cool form factor. I like the bowl at the bottom, and the use of the P80 chip.

I don't like the plastic. And I like 3D printed plastic even less, it just feels cheap.

The heater does not look particularly exciting, a few coils of ecig wire? Where is the mesh? Where are the glass balls?

On the face of it - interesting idea but not enough new to interest me.

In fact less and less interests me these days!

If I understood things well the 3D printed body is just for that batch of "beta" units. About the heater... it's a heater that's all :D I don't expect about a trully new heating tek before a while. Heating wires are not an issue if it's well build and if it releases good vapor and good taste. I agree a 510 atty like the Splinter/Iheat/Glow provide you exactly the same hits without the hassles a beginner can encounter (draw tek, settings,...) but I believe the goal is to provide units with the best convection hits but easier to master and to use out of your home. I believe we already have a few steps away with the Tinymight and the Taffee Bowle, they are easier to use cause the T°sensor/calculator used in this units making combustion or whispy hits impossible... or close to be impossible (I heard some peoples combusted with the TM...).

I haven’t gotten time to write a review or in all honesty as much time with it as I’d like. So far it feels like if tinymight tried to add tech to it. It hits hard, since getting I’ve reduced resistance and stick around 410. It still feels like 420 to me, I’m wondering if that has to do with how close the herb is to the heater. It gets hot quick after about 3-4 bowls. I did not like how the tiny might warmed up and this behaves just like it in that fashion. All in all I’m happy with the purchase so far. When I traded my tinymight I missed it and realized I had a use for so this guy filled that niche perfectly. Oh yeah the bowl is neat but you can’t knock it in a debowler so it isn’t my preference. I am still playing with so I can write an actual review of my full thoughts on it. Going to go play with it now o actually. Happy 420 eve all!

I got it today. I’ve only got to run a couple sessions through it. It hits well, I am getting a little hot spotting not horrible but enough Im stirring it once. Going to try different heats and draw lengths I totally forgot to show the bowl after the 3 hits. I will post a pic later. It was easy to operate since I own a tetrax. I will post my thoughts on it tomorrow after having it for one night. Oh yeah mine has a p80 chip in it which can shut down after 4 bowls back to back by then the device is warm enough I’d shut it down. 4 bowls was plenty it was purely for science lmao. I usually run quite a bit through them right away just to break them in.
Edit- I believe the next ones will have different chips

Looks like my unit (#4) will be shipping shortly. I'm pretty stoked to try the Toked, ngl. It ticks so many boxes for me; I really want it to be as badass as it looks. We'll see...

I'm incredibly impressed with Fedex service from the Philippines!

Initial impressions after 4 bowls:
There's a lot of play to the body. Too much. I really dislike the loose o-ring on the bowl... nothing fastens together tightly at all, so pocketing without, like, rubber bands is iffy. The unit and the mouthpiece get hot. It is very light for its size, a little unnervingly so.

ALL THAT SAID, this thing has pretty much nailed performance, functionality, and flavor for me. Tubo software is working great with Eco mode out of the box. I made a slight resistance adjustment to get temps more in line with my experience, but it is now rock solid on the the temp control. Flavor at native use temps is really forward and extended at low temps, where it will roast very evenly with no stirring. Bumping up the temp brings a little hotspotting, but nothing bad at all. It can really haul reliably through water.

There's a lot of room for design improvement at this stage, but it shows a ton of promise. I really dig this heater. Nice work on that! More thoughts to come as I use it more.

I love the form factor of this thing. Really impressive design. Does what a lot of other devices do but in a layout that makes sense and looks great.

Replace the plastic housing with aluminum and I think you'd really nail it.

Stoked you are liking everything except some faults on some of the part's design.

Not to make any excuses but the o-ring problem is actually a result of a manufacturing mishap from the CNC factory, they deleted a detail that would've helped keep the glass bowl and o-ring in place more reliably. As for the fitting of the case, the tolerances of the batch of parts tend to jump around a lot as the 3D printer I am using currently is really just an entry level model. But, yes definitely a lot more room for improvement design wise.

@Berimbolero has been helping me out with my bowl placement on IG. The glass liner that helps hold the o-ring had settled in shipping. Now that I see how it works, that situation is a lot better. Not perfect, but better.

The prototypes before this initial batch were actually metal, so yes it has always been an option. Metal shell vs 3D print have some tradeoffs though, both have pros and cons.

Metal Pros:
-better aesthetics
-better tolerance since it is machined

Metal Cons:
-the unit will get hot a lot more
-manufacturing costs will increase a lot

3D Pros:
-designing for compactness is a lot easier, no problem whatever complex internal shapes the parts need, something that a CNC machine will find impossible to do
-manufacturing cost is way less, and since I was working with a very tight budget for the initial batch it wasn't much of choice. Getting funding for a product like this from where I'm from is nearly impossible. :lol:
-with a higher end printer the tolerance problem will most likely be solved plus a lot of aesthetic customization is on the table due to the nature of 3d printing.

3D cons:
-it's still plastic! Even I used to hate the look of 3d printed stuff haha

You and I have the same conclusions. The heater is made well but I don’t care for the design. I like using debowlers and the bowl design makes it awkward to get avb into debowler. It’s a hard one to review (mine is down because I broke the stems with quickness due to my own fault, getting new on the way) because the heater is so well made and it produces well and taste well and it’s not like I didn’t know the design and how it functioned before buying, would almost be like getting mad my car has 2 doors when I pulled it off the lot like that. I was hoping I would like the design more than I did. Fwiw @Improvaper im ordering some stuff soon and one project I have in mind is taking off the bottom bowl cover and making a wpa stem that will be “straight piped”. I’m hoping this will also reduce the heat from the metal bend where the air path is it gets hot and I don’t care for how it wraps around the battery in a sense.

The debowling process is definitely something I'll be improving on if I get to the next batch of CNC production. :)

For this initial batch I had this design obsession of having a bowl that can be accessed without taking any part off for the sake of on-the-go use, and it looks like the debowling process got affected. If it would be any help, the entire vapor path including the glass bowl is actually detachable from the mainbody. I keep on forgetting to get a video of this but I will first thing in the morning.

I'm making do with some slightly-less-than-perfect-fit parts pretty well here with just a couple easy mods.

3 tiny black orings, 2 outside the stem and one inside tightens up the battery hood much better. You just need to be very careful when pulling the hood off to secure the top of the stem so it doesn't snap on the heater chimney.

Here you see the bowl with the o-ring and glass liner removed. As it came, there was a metal ring and a flat screen under the glass liner that I couldn't get to stay put at all. So I replaced those with a 20mm screen, which serves the purpose of both quite nicely and stays put. And speaking of that glass liner...

It really likes to come out on mine. I know tolerances will tighten up in future versions. But for now, I just put the thinnest stretched single layer of high heat silicone wrap around the outside of the glass before inserting. It's right at the top, so it helps to grip the o-ring as well and everything stays in place while debowling now. It also makes the seal of the crucible door tighter.

Nothing earth-shattering, just little things that are getting me past the fit and finish issues I have with this early unit. It's really fun to use! Very enjoyable native. Here's a quick session I did on a break at work (not driving). Cheers!

But after the first hit I was convinced that vape will have a bright future!

More to come since I didn't used it a lot, mainly used the fully on demand mode, is somebody can explain me shortly how work the eco modes, I noticed there is 2 modes...?

Still not found the right packing for that one, @Berimbolero please, how do you pack your bowl?

I usually just drop in the my herbs in the bowl. If going for a full bowl you can very slightly tamp it down with your finger. I also tap on the sides of the bottom panel to make the herb settle in the bowl evenly. Medium grind also.

Eco is a feature in cruise mode. It lowers the temperature when it detects that there is no draw being made. Once you start drawing it heats up the coil back to the original set temperature. It has 3 levels, each varying on how low the temperature goes down while you are not taking a hit.

So after 2 weeks with my toked i can say that im happy with it, of course the bowl design its a problem, mostly if it happen on the go that is the way i like to use this tiny vape, fortunately i've found a spot with the oring that brings all in place without problems (almost😁), but yeah apart that i can't complain. I would like to see the compatibility with hula stems maybe, because the vapor native on high temp is a little bit hot.
