Yeah the mini OAB were posted on IG originally, as they post stuff they are working on in the shop, since it was so new and exciting two of them became spoken for by commenters there so they were not even listed on the website... I don't think that really ever happened before, they have teased other things on IG, but they were not sold there or even formally announced? It can be a good way to see what's coming soon first at the very least, and yes sometimes the newsletters are not the quickest because they are sent after the store is updated... So recently the best place to see when they are available to purchase again, is actually right here, there have been many posted here like the bongs recently that were gone before the newsletter even went out (also depends on your time zone, for me the newsletters get sent around midnight, so that day before people on FC were already talking about them and buying them, then the next morning in my time zone the newsletter had been sent several hours earlier so by the time I checked there were only two left, and it was that newsletter that revealed these were the last of them I think?? Anyway I can appreciate the antsyness of people to grab one of these now, very glad I got in before things blew up, but they'll get back to that eventually!

Yea man I hope they make more of those in the future! I would buy one for sure..

On a related note, the 4 new OABs in construction they posted on their Telegram (also a good place to hear about product previews/drops) appear to have a slightly different design it seems. The heater is moved 90° so it's directly across from the mouthpiece, rather than to the left side of it. I guess this makes it more ambidextrous? I could be seeing this wrong, but it seems cool!

Ah yes the telegram is the first place to hear if anything probably, I think that's where people here heard the things before posting! If not literally refreshing the website all day?

So moving forward, the next bandits that are for sale on the site, will probably look like that... Easier for them to make even, and for them to ship safely too.

Ah I didn't even notice it on the minis! Lol I guess this can help some of us rationalize another one at some point.. that and we technically don't own a true 'aromatizer' yet.. :rofl:

I had a VapBong Art Edition on preorder already and I had spoken to them re: possibly getting a Bandit Art Edition as well but they kindly explained the issues with making a Bandit in the Portugese climate at that time. I always check their social media / IG / YouTube and I saw the mini video on their YouTube so I emailed them and asked if I could add it to my order and lowe and behold haha

Not going to lie I often have gone back and watched that YouTube video where they introduced the Mini again and again in anticipation, I wish I understood German haha!

They are very very nice people if you email them when you see a piece I don't think they would mind if you are the first to express interest sort of thing, I'd say it's safe to say the mini's will be made down the line due to the interest being shown in that model but it's just a guess

My obsidian arrived just now, looks awesome! I noticed the middle part of the heater is not fixed? Like the part around which the wire is wrapped looks like it can be easily moved, I just touched it with my finger to check, and its wiggly. Is it supposed to be like that?
I'm heat soaking it right now to test :)

btw, its the cleaneast and least smelliest vape i ever got! It is almost perfectly clean, no smell or anything

EDIT: everything works, tried the 11.0 down to 10.3 after 20min.

I got a response on telegram pretty fast, all good with the heater. It works like charm, hits like beast

Oh nice one! I feel like this is the first in the wild we've seen of either color, my money is on bloomin blue, in dark lighting, but it could easily be monsoon seas... I had to ask them so hopefully we'll all know soon enough!

It's on the exhale that I was blown away, because you can just pull like a maniac and you feel nothing until you know your lungs are full. Then the amount shocked me , like I exhaled and continued to breathe, to find vapour exiting my lungs XD
I literally put entire flowers in it and the flavour is excellent on the first hit. After I just kinda crumble it and finish it.

I heatsoak my OAB at 11.3 and then hit starting at about 9.75 and will temp step up to about 10.5 or so. YMMV. I like the high 9s. Good mix of taste and effect.

I like the high 10's / low 11's - but I think each device is pretty unique in terms of their best range. below 10.5 I find it difficult to get good production

however I had been noticing some "hotspotting" if you could call it that... more like the back half of my bowl seems to be getting blasted much more than the front and giving me uneven extraction.

I might try lowering the temp and really slowing my draw to see if that helps. Not sure yet lol I like the high temps

This has been my experience/sweet spot as well.

I start my heat soak at around 11.5, let it sit for 30-60 minutes, and then I can adjust the heat up or down as need be throughout the session. The back half of my bowl definitely gets a bit more cooked than the front, so I do find it necessary to stir/shake.

One thing to note here is that it is definitely important to keep the bowl screen clean. The performance is impacted pretty noticeably if you let too much build up in that screen and reduce the airflow.

It all depends on how much fast you inhale. If you are very fast you can rise the temperature without combusting. I like to draw slow and keep the device at 9.5/9.9.
I’d avoid temp stepping with this device, much better keeping the same temperature for each session and experimenting with dosage, grind consistency and draw speed instead.

That was actually on my list of things to try as well, but now I'm thinking ill try it first. I had noticed my screen getting pretty gunked up. Even on the under side of the screen it seems to have pulled some finer particles through and collects on the bottom.

Oh, @Zuhdj I forgot to say. If you really want to be super safe & concerned about avoiding combustion I would probably start at like... 10.2. Plug it in at 10.6 - 10.8, let it soak for an hour it should drop down to the low 10s. Then let her rip.

Generally lower voltage you can inhale slower. Inhale too slow at higher voltage and you'll risk combustion

Turns out it actually is Monsoon Seas glaze! First one we've seen publicly shared, love it, though it is pretty similar to the Tahiti Grape I've got coming, I might like the oceanic hues of this one even more actually...

Also LOL I got UPS notification for new glasses delivering today, but I wasn't fooled after making the mistake yesterday first :lol:
