The Alpha is the closest experience to a butane-powered dab rig. It is faster, smarter, and with more control. Vaporization temperature is achieved in 5 seconds and kept consistent for the duration of your session. Inhale as fast or as slow as you would like without overpowering the heater. View all important information regarding your session conveniently on the Alpha’s display. An E-rig should not come with compromises.
Not really diggin the marketing though ;D, dabbing while riding in a Porsche , lol....

It seems like it isnt launched ,pre-orders arent even available yet i think. I invited the manufacturers to join over, hopefully they could shed some light onto the concepts.

Not sure anyone can order anything from that website, at least via IOS, it's all over the place, menu system is terrible. Perhaps they can make amends by coming here and answer our questions and take on our advice too. As for the device I like it, sort of a flashy peak but for herb and oils. Read it's induction vaping, me wne on me for such a small device, nice LCD display and range of colours.

looks very interesting

i like that its giving accurate and precise temp control over most e rigs which rely on presets

would be curious to see how it stacks up for flower

Called these people. They said they don't even have any of the Alpha yet and they don't know when they will arrive. so no ETA. I'm very interested in this because of the induction heating. I've been waiting for something that competes with it. Now I'd really like to see how it does with flower....

That's what I really like about the unit, able to handle herb and oils at the click of a few button taps. For all the drawbacks of units like the peak etc these form factors also get me interested. Shame they simply don't know when they will even have a vape to sell, made in China I wonder?

I just like that it has induction heating like the switch. The switch in my opinion is over priced. This item is still expensive, listed as $299 USD on the website. It should come down a little after released to multiple retailers.....

IF you look closely at the site you will see that there are focused on wholesale and product development. To me it sounds like they are waiting for an investor or someone interested in marketing and selling these under his brand . I really hope to see it pop up later this year though, although i am more interested in the Akimbo.

I’d like to hear one benefit of an induction heater in a dab rig.

It only makes sense if you like dabbing off titanium, otherwise to use any other dab surface you need a metal susceptor which uses induction heating to heat the non metallic material with conduction.

Maybe there is mesh encased in the cup and gives very even heating .I dont know if it is an advantage ,but for several reason i would prefer the heater to be inside the glass rather then around it,like a standard coil setup.

The best method I’ve found for heating glass is still a torch! :science:

It has a ceramic dish that is inside the titanium so it can heat it. It also has a different setting for when doing so as it has to "guess" the temp of the ceramic based on the temp of the metal usijg some kind of built in reference table in the devices computer. However dabs seems to get in between the ceramic and the metal somehow even though they are press fit. I see it leaking out when cleaning. Oh yea it has a built in self cleaning mode which actually works really well to clean out the titanium insert and even cleans the ceramicm I usually just use the metal one though as old dabs in being heated repeatedly and released from between the ceramic has a bad taste. I'm sure they will fix that issue though.

It also has an issue of the concentrate climbing up the walls of the insert and down into the heater and needs to be cleaned every few dabs between the induction heater and the titanium bowl insert. This issue doesn't happen if you don't take too big of dabs but I usually take too big of dabs.

I'll make a follow up review video if they ever actually sell the damn thing.

My initial impressions are not very good. The first couple of hits tasted awful, and I haven't completely gotten rid of that taste despite multiple cleanings. Sort of a Robot-Fart / New Car taste.

I'm having a hard time dialing in my typical 1-2 hit dab; I either end up over-cooking it or get a decent hit from half of it and then it takes another two weakened hits to finish. It feels like the induction coil is struggling to keep up with longer pulls, but I'll have to play around with it a bit more to see what's really going on.

The buttons are super-janky. I can get the main button to stick in the pressed position just by applying a little bit of upward force while pressing it; I've done this unintentionally a number of times. The + and - buttons often don't register presses even when you can feel them click.

I wish that the induction cups could be pulled out for cleaning w/o having to remove the rubber cap and ceramic top piece, but that's just a minor gripe. It's easy enough to swab out the cups for basic cleaning w/o having to remove them.

The bubbler works well and has less restriction than similar devices.

The vape feels OK in the hand, but you definitely notice the sharp edges.

I really like the display...

*BUMP* old thread but does anyone else has this and have an opinion? The last post was over a year ago and when the product was just being released. I'm wondering if the quality issues SixStringToker brought up still exist or if iKrusher has kixed them. Or even just opinions from other owners, I'm thinking between the Focus Carta V with dry herb accessory and this. I'll be only using whatever I get for dry herb so I'm not concerned with any issues pertaining to concentrates. These 2 both look nice for a bong type desktop vaporizer. The things SixStringToker brought up about the buttons sucking and not always registering and vape having a really taste are concerning to me. And the lack of reviews on Google isn't exactly a great sign.

I'm thinking maybe they made some revisions to it since last year making it something I should consider over the Focus Carta V.

I'm still interested in this for some reason, but I've checked a few times a month since August and it's always OOS. That's a bad sign I suppose, I don't suspect they've been getting more in stock and just selling out quick. Looks like this might be a dead product.
