Sticky Brick Labs Vaporizer

Hey folks,

I have a question, which stickybrick should I get?

My requirements are simple:

Flavor is number 1 priority.

Want to use the SB for dry herb as well as concentrates and tobacco.

Don't want to use a water tool.

Prefer a 1 hand operation. Easier to clean/store and less parts is better.

Questions:

Do all sticky bricks have the same chamber size?
Which one gives the best flavor/vapor quality?
If you'd have to chose between Junior & the runt, which one would you chose and why?

Curerently I have a Dynavap Nonavong XLS, FF2, Arizer Argo, Arizer EQ, Solo II. So I have some experience with butane torch vaporizers but expect to have a learning curve with the stickybricks. Does all new stickybricks comes with a restrictor disc?
Hey friend, hope you're doing well.

By 1 hand operation, do you mean like a dynavap is one handed (torch in one hand, vape in the other)?

All of the bricks except the Hydro brick consist of three pieces of wood and have pretty much the same number of parts. From the three bricks I've had (OG, runt, Flip) the chambers are more or less all similar in size. I fill the bowl all the way and then tamp down.

As flavor might be the most subjective parameter when looking for a vape, and highly dependent on your medicine, it's tough to say. Be aware that wood will naturally impart a flavor to your experience. Black limba is one of the most neutral in flavors that is offered.

With that being said, if you're not interested in ever using a brick through water, the OG takes the slight edge as far as dry herb flavor, imo. The runt is still my favorite and if I could only have one, it would be the runt. All new bricks come with restrictor disks.

P.S. I've not smoked much tobacco (twenty years ago was my only cigarette) and have never vaped tobacco, but I would guess that tobacco has a much stronger flavor overall when vaped. It might really saturate your brick with that tobacco flavor, possibly making your cannabis taste like tobacco. Again, I'm totally guessing and don't have any experience.

Thanks for the input friends, really appreciate it

Yes, I'd like to hold the brick with one hand and use torch in the other hand while inhaling like a smoking pipe.

I have a really strong heat gun that might be used indoors instead of butane. Theoritically the heat gun should work as it's blowing very hot air through the inlet to the chamber to produce vapor with precision temperate and airflow control (pure convection heat transfer).

Has anyone tried a heat gun or hair dryer as the heat source with SB ?

I'ave tried vaping loose pipe tobacco in Solo II (glass and wood stem), Firefly 2 and Dynavape. It works well in all three with wood stems adding a nice smoky flavor to natural tobacco & other natural herbs.

I'm planning to try vaping concentrates placed on a mesh steel pad. How's your experience with concentrates in a stickybrick ?

I prefer concentrates with flower as it's less messy than a liquid pad in a Brick.

Thanks! I'm going to try the cork-in approach. BTW, love the avatar - what was your first show?? Mine was Deer Creek 95' (I'm old!)
@rvarick Thank man! First show was 8-9-97 at Alpine, not too far off from you, so, that means I am old too! 😂 Had tickets for Nashville but ya know....COVID.

I really hope SBL puts some more Miny Sticky Bubblers up again. I am loving putting my hydro on the MAXX for now but the runt is screaming for it.

I want one too. A guy on reddit told me a limited run is being made now and should be available soon. Good luck, I'm waiting 7 months for one

You as well! ha. One would think, after the sales of black friday, it would be a good idea to supply all those new owners with the option to spend more money 😂

Nice, I was at that Alpine show too! Fun times, feels like a lifetime ago...

Thanks, that's great news! I've also been eyeing their Instagram, etc. on if/when they may be putting more mini bubblers up.

Happy new year homies! Wishing everyone health, happiness and prosperity for 2021.

To keep it on topic, a picture of my favorite vape setup. I miss that cheap glass piece. :(

I personally love the new glass. I'm definitely in the market for basically the same thing but I'm not sure if I can afford it if it is a US glass blower. Do you have any link to see prices. I'd like something new with the same matrix perc with a bent stem just like yours. Or I may have to buy from Dhgate. Any suggestions on quality glass with not unreasonable prices I'm open to look. My new E-43 demands it. And I sadly prefer 19mm female so I can have a handle for the E-43 bowl.

Hey friend. The picture above is a cheap ass rig from ebay. Quality was terrible, I think I paid $29 shipped in the states. I got rid of it because my brother in-law needed something to combust in...

There was a glass blower in the states that did some pieces similar to above, but price was between $100-$250 if I remember correctly. I will try to remember who it is or where I saw it, but he takes custom orders....this is bugging me I don't remember.

Edit: ashme is the name!! Search on Instagram/Google "Ashme glass"

TY so much. I'll see what I can do. Yeah such prices aren't that bad. My max budget is $250 but will have to wait a month or two before I can spend that much. Big thanks again. Maybe I'll get lucky and it will be less.

https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/comments/kmswix This is what I'm doing first. Sending Oregon Glass blower an email today to see if he can make another one for me as I like to vape dry also.

Two months in and I'm definitely locked in on my Sticky Brick Jr but I want a SBL mini bubbler bad ...

Saw on Reddit yesterday that they supposedly had some in stock... the post was 3 hours old though and they had already sold out ... totally frustrating and beginning to wonder if they'll ever produce enough to meet the demand ... not happy 😒

I stupidly passed on a bubbler during my last order and then I tried to source one from inside Canada but it sold out over night. Ill one eventually but they're not easy to find.

Ive been 100% cbd through the bricks for awhile now. Still have anxiety issues I'm working through and looking for a new job after moving, so thc is still out.

Hope you're doing well friend.

You as well man! Been doing a good amount of CBD myself. I just thought you sold your bricks and quit entirely! Good to see you around, hope everything works out for you!

Careful. A lot of that CBD flower still has a small amount of THC in it, maybe enough to cause a drug test failure.

Quick tip: dome the screen on your finger, then drop it in with the dome pointing up (away from the bowl) then depress the center with the stir stick and it will stay in place. The bowl area is intentionally .5mm smaller then the screen because I personally hate it when the screen falls out with the avb.
What size are the replacement screens please ?
