The novelty is interesting. You should consider that the vapor path is very short
Meaning the heat may be harsh.....

Merry Christmas everyone!

Thinking of picking up a BB3 as a stocking stuffer. How hot does it get in the induction heater? I worry that the airport being so close to the tip could cause issues?

Well tickle me with a DynaVap! I got my 7 fin and goodie box today! Shipped 12/08 via USPS 2 day and arrived today 12/24 (distance be damned...as I am located NOT very far from the shipper).

This really made my day. Thank you DynaVap....really....thanks for doing this...I very much appreciate. Happy holidays all.

Glad you got it. Like you said when mine showed up yesterday, there was hope.

I'm sure this has been documented before, but I just ordered three different O/X-Rings for Dynavap tips/condensers and 1 batch of screens for alternative CCD and thought I would share the Google "wording" for these parts;

8mm Fluorocarbon FKM 75 Durometer X-Rings for large end condenser ring (x-ring/quad ring).

7mm Fluorocarbon FKM 75 Durometer X-Rings for small center/mid condenser ring (x-ring/quad ring).

8mm OD 6mm ID 1mm Dia Seal Fluorine Rubber O-Ring for tip.

3/8 Inch (.375") 304 Stainless Steel Premium Pipe Screen Filters for poor-man's CCD.

These should all be high heat capable.

Never bothered me and I chain it. A tad warm but not painful. I love mine.

SEARCH for the treasure...
I actually gave up on trying to find an UNGROUND - CLEAR “10mm Female to 14mm Male Glass Adapter”. Either my google-foo is bad, or these are hard to find (not a China site). I was browsing the @VGOODIEZ site, and the photo of the adapter looked clear, so I wrote Scott, and he confirmed, they were indeed totally CLEAR, so I ordered a couple.

Use an UNGROUND 10mm joint fitting for your valued DV STEMS. Ground glass is like fine SANDPAPER, and will mar and scratch a stem, my Simrell wood and titanium stems deserve better!

Oooh boy, I've spent in excess this winter on the dynaverse... new Flite IH and just placed a big order on Dynavap for a omni hydra XL, BB stem, titanium stem, slimstashxl and spare parts for everything! Gonna be sweet but I think I need I need to stop. All that stuff at Dynavap was a good deal, 10% off. But do I still get a free C cap? I didn't see any indication at checkout.

Oh, by the way, Happy Christmas everyone!

@whatitdew I have a Simrell Vortex shorty, all Ti (no wood). I think the spiral intercooler collects resin, reclaim, goop - whatever you call it faster than a standard M condenser.

It's part of the reason I've been reaching for it less and less.I don't want my cannabinoids sticking to anything but the alveoli in my lungs. I may be completely wrong and the goop on the Vortex is crap I don't want in my lungs. Anyone know?

I just hate NEEDING to clean it so often. Seriously, I'll literally have stuff dripping out of the mouthpiece end and getting on my hands while torch heating. Then it'll get on my lips and teeth all sticky. Pain in the ass. And that's after like maybe 15-20 bowls. For me, that might be noon. I ain't cleaning anything twice a day unless I combust.
That's crazy, are you using wax or something? After 15-20 bowls mine is dirty but nowhere near dripping shit out of the mouthpiece end.
Have you tried sticking the whole thing in a doob tube filled with iso and salt? Let it sit , give it a shake, then when you take it out remove the intercooler from the stem with tweezers to see if you got everything, if not, repeat process.
For me it's stupid simple to keep clean and I only have to do it once every 1-2 weeks and it's a scrub-less process.
I like the intercooler because it acts as a filter so I guess we're different. I look at the stuff that collects on the intercooler as debris, it collects the big particles that tickle my throat and make me cough and the intercooler is exactly where I want it to stay. I also use a cotton filter disc in the stem just below the tip. I don't consider any of this a waste of cannabinoids. It's just the cost of doing business to get smooth vapor. Also the cotton filter prevents the intercooler from getting dirty too fast. You do have to change the cotton out though. I don't mind doing any of this. You sound like a much heavier user than me, so all of this stuff I'm talking about may not work for you at all.

Perhaps the cotton disc is the key to keeping things from gumming up. Wait, there are
Cotton discs on the market that fit, or do you use a punch?

& there is no restriction of the air-flow, :sherlock:

I use cotton(a small, lightly rolled price of vaping wick cotton "bacon") in both my DDave water wand and in a condenser-less '17m. It definitely keeps things behind it cleaner, although both of my cotton pieces are pretty close to the mouthpiece.

It also definitely makes the hits less harsh.

ETA: @stark1, the restriction from the cotton getting gummed up will increase gradually, and when it reaches unacceptable levels to me, that's how I know when to change it.

As a bonus, for those who are so inclined, I may have eaten one of the more gummed up little cotton nubs😇, and gotten a pretty nice edible buzz for the day. Not sure that I recommend it to others as a regular practice, but you could always do an alcohol-soak with them, or maybe in MCT oil.

Not sure if you were talking to me or not, but... The cotton bacon that I use comes in strips, and I just rip off a little chunk and basically form an appropriately-sized cotton ball, at about the same, or slightly less density as a normal cotton ball.

@Maryland Vapor - yes, that was about cotton. I was thinking a strip of the cotton pad @stark1 mentioned and roll it up and cut small disks from that. Then where would be less resistance due the spiral cut.

The famous @Squiby uses a spiral hemp fiber filter :

i cannot for the life of me get the screen in either of my titanium tips to stay put on the .05 size. after 2 or 3 caps of smoking, stirring maybe, and repacking it just starts to fall in sideways. the screens are as flat as i can get them. i can do this no problem with my ss tip. why am i an idiot right now?

edit: the screens are physically smaller. just jammed a ss screen in there instead. i have shit to do today lol.
Stupid question but are the grooves for the screen clear of debris? I had a similar issue with the screen not staying in place and on closer inspection I found that I hadn't been cleaning the bowl properly as bud debris had built up in the grooves. I bought a cheap dentist pick tool (the L shaped one), cleaned the two grooves properly and now have no issues with screen placement.

they were clean, but now i'm like 99% positive that the issue has to do with the fact that the free 7 fin tips are likely ones that didn't pass QC. stainless screens work and i'm ok with that. gift horses and mouths and all that.

Ti screens get deformed, or virtually "shrink", after they have been over-centered once (removed). There may be a blemish in the 7-fin but screwing up the chamber would be a boner. If SS works correctly, it is the basis to use for conformity.

is there a way of shaping them back? i mean i'm fine for now but i hate wasting things. it's also the reason i microdose. i feel like i get the same effect from half a bowl as a full one with the vapcap, although i am fully aware that this is probably just in my head...

+1 on the filters.

When I'm feeling fancy and have lots of free time I do the @Squiby filter of hemp fiber spiral discs.

You can drop the used filters into stem milk when you're done. Tastes exactly like you'd expect it to. So - not recommended.

@mccringleberry on second thought (after reading your reply) - yeah, you're right. My vortex isn't 'dripping' goop after one day. But, it's a mess.

I noticed it more after using the Omni mouthpiece and a drip tip on my Shellshock.
