Not according to Roger!

Web (BT) required for iOS, and safari doesn't work so you need to download a BT webapp that they suggest.

Getting strong Billy Mays vibes from this guy...

That having been said, if this Peak really does have a sensor that's actively measuring the temp of the coil AND bucket, it's sort of a deal for $399. Given that's the price of the old one, which had virtually no temp control.

I'll wait for some reviews before making a decision on it. I can't really see it outperforming the AVS M22, but it looks very cool. In my opinion, it's a pretty decent upgrade over the original.

Gotta admit, this (on paper) sounds like the e-nail killer we've all been waiting for. I'm honestly quite surprised that this has pretty much has every single feature I thought could be improved on in the original version. Is there anything missing you guys wanted to see? Seems like they really did wait to make a better unit, but time will tell of course. But being able to control the all temp settings to compensate for insert material is going to be a game changer, especially If it's truly got a thermocouple embedded. Probably going to have to get one, especially if you can boost a sapphire insert for faster heatup than the earlier models, which I'm thinking you should be able to.

Looks like i'm OUT! More money for live resin ruby dabs for me! F U Puffco keep your politics out of your business!

Lol, interesting strategy there? Even if I were interested in this vape to begin with, they just crossed themselves off of my potential shopping list as well.

Straight up telling customers that we dont want your money if your political are different than ours... never a good sign when a companies political beliefs are more important to them than the company itself.

Never a good sign for who? Because I promise you they're going to do just fine without you. Roger made it exceedingly crystal clear who he doesn't want buying his products, so it makes all those people subsequently posting "ok fine I won't!!" look really silly and kinda impotent. Do you feel better now that you got that off your chest? Can we talk about the product now?

There's still some confusion/uncertainty as to whether the new atomizers will allow for aftermarket coils and inserts.

The thing is... I don't even really disagree with any of his political statements, and it's still quite off putting. Imagine some issue you really care about. Climate change, gun rights. Whatever. If you walked into a store and the proprietor said "in this store, we care about climate change. And if you don't... you better fuck right off!" That would be incredibly weird.

But.... I don't really care. I know Chick Fil A funds efforts to reverse same sex marriage in the US. I oppose that. But I still eat their "chikin" sandwiches. Because they're delicious. I don't buy products based on whether or not the company's CEO is an asshole. I buy products I think I'll enjoy.

Is there anything missing you guys wanted to see?

Is the coil just resting on the bottom of the bucket, or is the whole thing heated? I must've missed that.

I agree, the thermocouple thing would be huge. I'm not in a rush to get one, but I likely will at some point. So long as the reviews check out.

If they did a smooth mirror polish on the stock aluminum oxide bowl (same chemical composition as sapphire) I bet it would be very solid performing, as is!

Good question! A one piece coil & bucket combo would be thermodynamically ideal.

Never a good sign for anybody. IMO no matter what your beliefs are, more often than not, when a company takes a strong political stance one way or the other it rarely works out the way they think it will. No reason to alienate approx 50% of your potential customer base. It just seems like a poor business decision to me.

I'm sure they will do just fine without me. I wont lose any sleep over it and I know they wont either. @florduh pretty much nailed my feelings on it too. If I walked into a local store and they started telling me they only accept my money if I believe one thing or another, I'd turn around and walk right the fuck back out. No matter if I agreed with them or not.

People are polarized enough as it is these days. Absolutely no need further it even more.

It's alright to skip this company now. I'm sure that others will knock off and make a better version that works as well or better that this thing. Looks great now but let's see how it works in real life. Seems like people have had a problem with this already before he posted this crap. So he was telling people to F off because they wanted replacement atomizers?.

Nike's nearly bankrupt after hiring Kaepernick, right? And nobody buys Patagonia jackets or Ben & Jerry's ice cream anymore, right? Come on  There's no evidence that it's bad business to take a stance on these issues in this time, especially with a customer base like Puffco's. Just be honest with yourself and admit that you dislike it because you disagree with it - because that's perfectly fine and understandable! But stop pretending like it'll hurt them financially. It won't!

And if you see it as Roger feeling the need to polarize people, I suspect that's merely a projection of your reaction. You see it as polarizing because you're personally repelled by it. But Roger simply sees it as projecting his morals onto his company, which he has every right to do, since: 1) it's his company, 2) he sees it as a timely and urgent moral imperative, and frankly 3) most people agree with him.

I just think it's weird that all these people come out of the woodwork to say "ok I won't!!!" and feel as if they're making some kind of point. The point was made when Roger emphatically stated that if you don't believe those things, he doesn't want your money. You're not making any kind of point by saying "ok, I won't give you my money," because that's specifically, exactly what he told you to do. If you really wanted to stick it to him, you'd buy it anyway

Well for one I think its a huge stretch comparing Puffco to Nike, Patagonia and Ben & Jerrys... There is plenty of evidence but this is obviously not the appropriate place to get into it. If all you're looking for is for me to admit that I dont agree with Roger's viewpoints, you're correct, I dont agree. Not all of them anyway.

You are making a lot of assumptions about how I feel/what I think & believe though. I disagree with a lot of what you said, and I'll leave it at that - but if you would like to continue feel free to PM me. I'll bow out of this thread - hope you guys like the device, for those getting it!

Really enticed by this I work at a shop so if my shop gets these in stock I might have to put one aside for layaway... I've been waiting for the AVS M22 w/ESCC.

I had a Carta for awhile but let that go but one of the bigger features I enjoyed was the control it had on the application to dial in different temperatures per material used.

The peak always had a nice design and as others have said they seemed to improve the original on all the points people had issues with, +1 for wanting to see an atomizer tear-down in that video above he said it was a "closed system" and that one could put an insert inside of the bucket so who knows if the stock one is original.

Also wondering if that airflow hole on the cap is capable of spinning a terp pearl.

Looks better than the OG in every way, basically. Excited to see what happens with aftermarket stuff on this, but I've already preordered. Have not been disappointed at all with the OG Peaks I've used.

also, @cali_dabs on IG was showing it spinning terp pearls with the stock setup @Fkn0wned

Does it used the same crap attys?
I’m not sure if they are crap or not, the issue is they are not compatible with aftermarket inserts, like Fadespace. This is a deal breaker for me. I already rebuilt the atomizer in my peak and use Fadespace inserts. All I was hoping from the pro was wireless charging, illuminated glass and temperature control.....I had no desire for a proprietary atomizer and insert

Are they planning on keeping the Puffco OG? Does anyone know? Additional price drop on that?

I don't expect $400 retail to last long. For a number reasons honestly.

I get the peak glass silhouette is part of the brand now but the function leaves much to be desired imo. It would have been nice to see some improvement there. Especially for the tag.
I haven’t used any other glass on the OG peak. I hate how it holds very little water, yet so easily gets drawled up the glass. I really want to get the Ryan Fit Recycler, then I missed out on the black one. I hope they produce some more.

Just the opposite here, the first good thing I've seen coming from Puffco and the only reason I have had to support them ever. Now if they could only make a decent product that doesn't need 3rd party mods to work properly...

Same as some people are out because of their politics, I'm happy to support companies with the same view as me.

Does the peak pro separate the vapor off the top of the cup and let it go straight to the water piece....or does it allow the vapor to be sucked down the outside of the cup and down through the atomizer like the previous version?

Same design as the original.

I'm only a dozen hits deep, but can confidently say it's the best e-rig experience I've had so far. The combination of customization options through the app + accurate temp regulation makes for consistently superb function. My only concern is that you apparently can't take the atomizer apart to torch the ceramic bowl, and mine's already starting to brown somewhat after only taking flower rosin dabs. Hopefully periodic iso soaks will help.
