Sorry, I meant straight or with glass. I use mine with a J Hook or my Grav bubbler.
Just straight. I have DDave glass coolling chamber, sneaky pete bandit, and larger glass pieces, that I used often with my omni, and wood dynavaps. For me the bb9 doesn't need that, it seems to cool vapor to temp I enjoy without me hooking to anything else. That is the main reason they have become my most used pieces. I don't mind using cooling chambers and such, as that had been my preference for years. It just that the simplicity of bb9 as well as the easy cleaning has me using it often. I also prefer glass flavor wise.

I really like edstnt wooden stem (my first wooden stem ever so maybe that gives an impact) because i can pump mini clouds on "Mid" of the cap too.. not only on the highest..!
edit: ok got it actually because wood weights less than metal i can spin it even faster.. so the heating more even i guess

If water is not a focus for you then may I suggest a @RogueGuy RWW glass stem. Right now he's selling the anelli stem.
I have an older model called the robusto, which appears to be the same stem (long version) minus the three glass rings which keep the tip off the table. These stems stay cool and give a very nice hit. Very good quality with pretty thick glass.

Question for you guys. I have an Apollo 2 and a Caldron.

My Caldron has a silicone disk at the bottom. I don't see that but a nub for my Apollo 2. Think want to do the same. Any advice on what it is where I can get or make it?

When I had my apollo2 the pressure it took to activate that ball switch was like 1/4 of the caldron, to remedy this I just use a piece of cork, also I think pipes may sell his silicon insert that he has started to use as well

I don't like this thing. Nasty aftertaste and no vapor. Waste of money for a cheapo toy compared to any real vapes. Well at least I didn't waste that much money on it.
As someone who has a lot of vapes, I kinda feel sorry for you that you can't see the potential in this thing.

After years of vaping with other vapes, I finally bought one of these and it is now my DD. All of my other vapes sit on the sidelines wondering when coach is going to put them in, little do they know, coach moved on to a new team that isn't filled with losers.

@thunderstealer1337 - Dynatec is particularly proud of that soft-touch switch. Alpine 2020 has a very annoying switch.

@Ripstar - DV took over daily driver duty over the Magic Flight Launch Box. Love LB but I have volume considerations for meds. DV can rip through loads fast including maintenance. Cost of ownership is dependent on your level of VAS. DV has cured my VAS when it comes to other vapes. And I still love my Magic Flight kit.

I'm gonna give it another chance. Have a new honest butane torch coming today. Ok I tried again and again even watching videos on use and how to heat it. Wasted a lot of herb on it already. Sometimes it combusts and turns black without clicking. Other times it will click but I won't any vapor at all from it. All I know is I'm sick of wasting my money, product, and time on this thing. I just don't have the money to keep wasting product in it.

... i just got a Flix from Fluxer Heaters one with a 15mm coil... This unit rocks  ... only other IH ive tried is the PSM by Pipes...

...i liked the PSM but like any battery powered portable vape i've tried, nothing stands up to the power of being plugged in...

...i can kill a bowl in the Flix with a single hit going 1-2 seconds after the click... i prefer killing bowls in one hit personally... with the PSM i had a hard time killing a single bowl even going 5+ seconds after the click... this has two way's of heating... one, a tactile switch at the base of the coil, and second, there's a button that sits on top... i personally use the tactile switch not the button on top...

...the Flix has brought new appreciation to VapCaps and is the missing link to my VapCap experience i've been looking for...

... the magnet looks small compared to the Dynavap ones, but it's just as strong if not stronger...

...very happy with this purchase...
Any reason you didn’t go with the cauldron from Pipes? I love the metal construction and it seems like it was a pretty aggressive heat up.

DV is not for everyone. It does take a certain level of awareness to make this thing shine. I find all to often people get too uptight with it. Heat it a little and see if you like it. No - heat it more. It's not the vape that is the problem but the very nature of how vape gets out of the flower. I've gotten dry heaves from flower I know has good shit left in it. Put is aside for a minute and the rip comes forth. Nothing to do with the DV and everything to do with technique. Knowing what's in the flower and knowing it is up to me to get it out is a big part of the VC experience. DV VC is just a tool.

Someone should start writing a history book on IH for vaping. Research now would be so much easier than 10 years from now. There is such a tight weave between the 'odd entanglements'. Capturing motivations and outcomes. It is real history in the making. SDS, Jeff, Pipes, Chris, all on the forefront. Imagine all 4 in the same room for a real interview for an article after some reseach

Hello everyone, just thought I'd show off my first fully handmade stem by me! The wood is Ash with just a light coat of dynawax. Condenser is pressed fit, without orings, but can be removed if you're handy.
This was mainly just a proof of concept to see if I could actually make what I had in my head and if it would actually perform to my expectations and I'm pleased to say it does!
It's very rewarding using something you made with your own hands!
Also a pic of all the blanks I have to play with!

Any thoughts, comments or concerns would be greatly appreciated as this is all pretty new to me still haha :)

Fun isn't it @Walrus88 ? How long a piece are you aiming for?
Not entirely set on length, this first one is probably the longest I'd make for me as any longer wouldn't be friendly in the hand!
My next one will be shorter, closer to the xl length.
Nice looking stem! If the condenser is pressfit, is there room for air to move through the airport and between the condenser and stem towards the tip? I can’t visualize it...
Thank you! Not as of yet with this one because I'm still waitimg on some stainless tubing for custom length condensers to achieve the same airflow as the original. But even with the increased gap/space it still seems to give the venturi effect when drawing with the carb open.

I finally got it clicking!. First bowl was a little off. Now I'm on my third I think. Anyway I got almost completely even AVB on one of the packs. I was also able to get a good flavorful hits on one pack where I heated and took it off before the click. I'm sorry people. My mind is completely changed now. Now though my honest torch lighter has stopped working correctly. I tried bleeding and refilling it and that didn't seem to work. I turned up the butane level or flame level all the way. Now I don't barely get a flame. It's tiny. After trying a few times it clicks and doesn't even light anymore. I can press on the ignite button but now I don't even get a click.

Im working on the same concept now, trying to figureout how to do what I want with the condenser. It looks awesome! I will be sippen and ripen on one of my own soon.

Its so awesome when you get the first big ripper from your dynavap its like the entire universe comes together and everything is harmony and your its master

If you want to take it easy with the torching heat then make sure your heating closer to the click end of the cap. Don't move the flame down towards the digger-outer unless you want more heat.

This is just my opinion, but if you want to have more uniform heating and increase your consistency, then get yourself an IH like a @Pipes caldron. It will make the process more automatic and you won't get so pissed off with the vapcap. In fact, you may very well enjoy it more than any other vape. This is what happened with me @Kins, I used to hate them for the same reasons as you. Eventually I got better with the torch and things improved. But it wasn't until I got an IH that the vapcap experience was transformed for me. Also, learning how to use the mouthpull method instead of direct lung pulls was a game changer.

We need a DV Stem Channel!

Before fitting the condenser, drill to the 'air port' at 5/16 [or shy] and drill the air port. Drill the remainder with your tube's OD. Then press in the condenser. Now you have OEM performance. Fresh air along the wood path and vape along the condenser.

I'm really glad to hear you didn't stop trying. It is a great family of vapes and should always be in my stable, no matter what my favorite may be.
Here is a little video that may help with getting the spin down...

i think this method is harder with the M stem, isn't it? i can only spin 180 degrees not 360 like you :/

No, it should work well whatever stem you have. The one in the clip is an XL so it is a little easier to spin, but it really doesn't matter that much. The trick is to hold it very loosely, almost resting in your hand, and only your thumb and index finger are doing any work.
