i have two x-max without any bad smell and a friend of mine got also one and it also doesn´t smell bad while vaping. but i also think it could be your mouthpiece, maybe the silicone o-ring. for the battery i´m also looking for one with a bit more mah. 10c rated high output batteries are needed .
