A lot use no balls. Once an old timer is used to the free flow of the original, it's hard to add balls. I'm lucky in that I didn't try it without balls first, so the extra airflow of the original was nice but I'm now so used to it with balls that without it, it feels strange. 🤷‍♂️

The screen is heavy duty and won't bend or move in any way without you messing around with it. It is press fit into the bottom. Unless the glass is out of spec and too large, the screen is not going anywhere.
