Yeah, my original back end got extremely hot and the replacement the same. I've got four batteries and they don't seem to last as long as they did in the first week or two (it's now about 4-5 weeks in.
They asked me to return the 1st backend. I've waited a week to see if the new one improves (it hasn't), so I'll be returning the replacement back end and keeping the original one and then see what they say.
Same position as you mate. Got my replacement back end to the UK very very quickly. Kudos to HL there.
Unfortunately the new back end is getting just as hot as the last one, and I can combust if over 3.
I've been getting an extremely hot backend, although the hopper seems to be vaping fine. I use it set to 5.
However, after reading a comment earlier about moving the temp dial back and forwards a few times, I tried this, moving the dial gently backwards from lowest to highest about ten times...
I'm in exactly the same position and feel exactly the same way. Functioning great but very uncomfortable to hold. Back end almost as hot as front end. Have to put a warranty claim in soon.
Mine is behaving just like this, and has been since I got it a couple of weeks ago. Back end becomes almost as hot as the front end and just as fast. Probably have to put a warranty request in soon.
I got a reply from hopper labs about 2 hours after emailing them. Told me mine would be shipping this morning and I should expect a tracking number today.
Feb 15th 2015 pre-order here. Got my address confirmation email on 27th May but heard nothing since.
Anyone ordered after this date who have had a shipping confirmation?
