Definitely well padded. I throw mine in a backpack all of the time, no issues. I have the v2 and it fits perfectly.

I use my grinder, then dump the ground weed into the metal potter to fill the pots. My Aroma-3 grinds much better in my opinion than the metal potter grinds. This way I have the grind I like, plus the ease of filling the pots.

I have definitely been overpacking my pots. The potter system drops super fluffy material into the pots and I have been tamping it down to add more. Need to try with a lot less tamping.

Yeah, really just need a larger plastic box with a lid. The one I am using now fits the base, just barely, but I need to unplug the power cord and the cord to the coil. Would rather not remove that coil wire daily.
