Yes you can clean them with a torch but dont overheat them. I think they can break if you heat them too much. i had never an issue though.
Im really excited to try out the new bowl screens! The original bowl screens are very fiddly to adjust. I often accidentally remove the screen while...
I also tried the Boro 2.5mm balls in my T2 yesterday and i absolutely love them. The flavour is better than rubies or zirc but in my V1 i like the rubies most. I ordered some quartz and SiC (3mm) balls and im very exited to try them soon :)
I will make a video for the next item, which I torch colour. It's very hard to see on camera when the titanium colour changes, so I need a proper setup. I was doing this on my desk with just a torch, a pot to drop the hot item in and a rolling tray to put the hot torch on. I wouldn't want to...
thanks dude :D i really enjoy the colors, i polished it with polyboy and it went back in the colorscheme a bit ( the color depends on thickness of the oxidation layer). So i gave it a little retorch and the blue is much more bright now, i love it.
I will make some photos and share them later...
Thanks for the info. i like the taste of the rubies more in the v1 at least compared to the 2,5mm zirc balls. the rubies are 3mm so im not sure if its because of the airflow.
I'm also curious about how the rubies perform in the V2, but I put them in the V1 when I got them and I absolutely love them! They feel so much better than the 2.5 mm zirconia balls and the open airflow is great. Next time I clean one unit, I will put the 3 mm zirconia balls in the V1 and the...
i colored the bowl as well :) i like how it matches with the cooling fins on the stem in contrast to the blue.
now i cant get the song out of my head :D
i decided to do it later, i will enjoy the titanium look until its a scratched, than i will polish and anodize it.
yeah, i finish with 15000 grid paper then fine cloth and polishing paste, for me mirror polishing by hand is like pure Zen, i can do it for hours.
im thinking as well that its not a big issue as long as i use a fine grid. I have sand paper in all kinds, thats no issue. i did some coloring on my omni allready, i removed the torch coloring and made a second attemp which i liked more, no issues with logo so far.
im not sure tho if i want to...
i use the zirc balls, and im just wondering if going till timeout is still a thing with the new adapter. it soaks so much less heat. i always let it in the wand still timeout though. i guess with the quarz balls you can reduce the heat further or use a gentler draw in the first seconds.
i tried small pieces and one extra cotton layer. it worked very well, i extracted fast. It's a bit more fiddly, though. it needs further testing .
Are you going until timeout message or until the light stops flashing ?
edit: corrected quating. messed my post up because im high like a kite xD
