Good option for something to just throw plates on. 20 ton model modified on IG, they don't show the plates but they are supposedly just the basic cartridge heater and therocouple with PID.

Are you saying that you have the retaining washer between the coil and the dish like if you were using a sapphire halo? I was able to scoop one of those washers from dnail but i've been using it under the coil so no need to up the temp im guessing.

I went with the same 1/4" carts but shorter. Will be drilling them along with a thermocouple into some aluminum alloy plates I had cut, controlled by a single pid.
