That is exactly what is inside of it. A big white cloth disc under the heat element. I assumed that was the filter.. and yes.. it does not look user serviceable :P Thanks!

I mean, it works properly and the inside was completely clean of debris... so I am sure its got a good long life ahead of it. That is the critical bit :P
