Wow. We are seriously concerned about this and are here to help. For consistency, the pieces are always machined together. Generally we can match one piece to another with no issues. It is possible the machining can cause a slight minor difference, but it sounds that it's a big difference...

We can definitely help you. Only concern is that if it's a counterfeit our mid section might not work because of the threading. Can you share a picture of the grinder? Perhaps we can tell if it's legit or not through the photograph. And...Thanks of being a fan!!! We are stoked!!!
