I'm probably dead wrong on how it works but the vented lid wouldn't make the oven work like a convection oven would it? I know convection ovens move air through the material to heat it all evenly, but the air coming through the vented lid would probably stay cool and not heat up, right?

Yeah, I've found that the medium grind produces a large amount of vapor.

FWIW, Sneaky Pete didn't clean his unit for 3 weeks and said you would have no problem not cleaning it for 1 week of heavy use or 2-3 weeks of moderate use.

Used mine for the first time last night and was really surprised at how much vapor it puts out by just sipping. Used a medium-fine grind from a SCS upside down.

Mine just arrived! It's on the charging cradle now! Its easily the best designed vaporizer IMO. I haven't been this excited about a gadget in a while!

I had the same reservations about the Pax 1, didn't want to have to clean it after every few sessions and found other vapes to be way more conservative with bud/taste better. I pre-ordered the Pax 2 because everything I've read seems to fix all of that and IMO it has far and away the best design...
