It would be nice if grinder descriptions indicated if they were coarse or fine, but its mostly trial and error. After going through several brands (including PIU freebie) I finally settled on the Santa Cruz brand and have been satisfied with it. Its kind of a medium grind that seems to work well...
I live in the area so I went by their office. Crafty technician did a diagnostic on my old unit then went in the back and brought me out a new one sealed up in a box (said they had just been delivered that morning).
Total time: 20 minutes (plus 15 driving).
Charger is physically smaller than...
It seems to me that the new charger works faster. But then it also heats up faster (probably due to new battery). Like you I have a sense of it being somehow different, but don't have the original to compare with.

Well, of course, there is always going to be a point at which it advances to the next firmware. The guy at Crafty said he was giving me a unit from a shipment they had just received so maybe firmware update is very recent.
I'm not very tech savvy but wouldn't it make sense to be able to update...
So I was flipping through the manual on the "new/warranty" replacement and I came upon something I hadn't noticed before.
S&B says not only disconnect the charger cord from the crafty, but also unplug the charger itself.
Does everybody do that? Does having the charger plugged in all the time...
Haven’t checked in in a while as things have been intense and crazy around here, but I started having some problem around 75 hours.

I have been fortunate to be corresponding with the company's Marketing Director. She is very pleasant to work with.
I submitted my comments and within a short time she responded with some suggested modifications which sounded good to me basically.
They will be changing the button set up. I...
The term used for this type of agreement between states is Reciprocity. But the hitch is that the states have to be in agreement on honoring each other's law. Nevada may say it will honor them, but if the origin state doesn't have a similar agreement then no go. As I understand it many states...
Have pretty much run through herb testing. Not much of a concentrate user so I haven't gone there yet.
Overall works well. I ran it through all temps and the ABV was pretty uniform. Ran it three times at high in a row and there was no charring of the ABV so combustion seems unlikely.
Now I...
I use a small pinch of cotton ball (organic/not bleached) on top of load. Then just dump it all. Some use screens on top, but then you've got to fish them out of the waste/ABV and clean them, etc. A pinch of a cotton ball is so much easier to me.
