Time for a sanity check: there's a Hard Maple Alpha + sitting on my desk after arriving about a week ago.... I couldn't be happier!
To anyone wanting additional encouragement after @Zillacon shared his thoughtful review - the + was a luxury/OCD addition to my collection, but it definitely out...
I also am fortunate enough to have adopted the other Chinese Pistache SC3+ and think you did your best to describe the wood -- I originally thought that some of the horizontal lines/waves were maker's marks since most of the grain is vertical on my UD, but they appear to be "3D" - almost...
Congrats to those fortunate enough place an order during this drop. And, a heartier "Do Not Despair!" to those of us who did not due to the site errors -- good things come (sometimes :)
You confused my with "roll it up", but then I remember I don't combust any more :)
@Cheebsy -- thanks for sharing the link to Alan's post! I will wait until my number comes up for a HI to bug him about them :)
I'd like to know this too since I'm a UD rookie and VAS is hounding me at the moment too. Not yet at the "All your dogs belong to me", but closer than I might prefer at the moment. It looks like a "dog toy" got teased on Insta, so maybe that's where your next pup is kenneled.

I'm really enjoying mine but have never owned the original. I share the concerns about glass fit that others have expressed, but it's no showstopper. The E-Nano XL is actually the topic of tonight's Troy and Jerry Think Dank episode, coincidentally.
No issues with the WPA falling off and I don't use the 3D-printed clip. Certainly possible that glass sizing might be a bit different which may help explain. I received my first glass kit with an order I placed in January and a second more recently -- both work the same.
