I think Im getting my TA1 dialed in on my wand. I have it set to 580, flip the wand upside down so the TA rests on the ledge, and let it go until it times out.
In hindsight I would have liked to get the TA2 and just removed the heat adjuster and left the screw in the middle. That would...
Black wood shorty with matching mp. Only one Ive ever seen personally. Ti tip, non captive cap with simrell logo, and a captive cap with the circuit fmj.
This is an original model of the Bong Sook Shin with the male to male adapter as the wpa. Ive included an 18mm one that I havent tried but it should work with it along with a few brand new screens. Im like 80% sure this is Padauk as it very closely resembles my noisy cricket. 80obo
It won’t have the heat shield which is pretty crucial I imagine. I’m using a TA on a simrell wood stem and it gets hot. The good news is I think the stem would get to hot to handle before I got to combustion levels of heat.
I’m interested in the new v2 Dani fusion as well which may be something...
The heat transfer was my concern. I’ll have to see if I can find a spare piece of tile to set it on. I definitely didn’t want to sit there holding it.
Do you have the wand set to max temp( which I think is just a longer timer)
People using wands are you using any sort of insert in there? I’ve been nervous ever since I managed to partially melt my sk insert with the ta.
I’ve been using a torch but I’d like to try the wand again at some point.
It looks like at the very least you would need a 14mm to 18mm adapter. Its doable but not ideal I would say, you can get the adapters for real cheap so might as well give it a shot.
Here is a quick write up with pictures on replacing the temp controller board.
Step 1: Wiggle top off very carefully
Step 2: Remove oring and the two screws with a t10 bit and pay attention to the orientation of the dimmer in regards to the dash
Step 3: Push the dimmer control through the...
Anyone getting good results with the ta1 and wand yet? Been creeping the temp setting up on the wand but haven’t gotten it where I want it yet. It’s been wand then torch to get it up to temp so far.
I’m also finding it has a bit of a built in anti combust feature as my whole setup gets way to...
